\n Netflix and Sony\u2019s anime<\/a> specialty platform Crunchyroll will both stream the upcoming Japanese anime series<\/a> Dan Da Dan<\/em>, an adaptation of the manga of the same name created by Yukinobu Tatsu. Netflix will stream the series globally, while Crunchyroll will simulcast it everywhere except in Asia as the episodes air in Japan. Taiwan-based anime distributor Muse also revealed during Hong Kong Filmart Tuesday that it has picked up Asia rights\u00a0to the anticipated title.<\/p>\n

\n The anime adaptation\u00a0will be directed by\u00a0Fuga Yamashiro, whose credits include being assistant director on\u00a0Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Tatami Time Machine Blues<\/em>. The script<\/a> is written by\u00a0Hiroshi Seko\u00a0(Attack on Titan Final Season<\/em>;\u00a0JUJUTSU KAISEN<\/em>). The series is produced by\u00a0Science<\/a> SARU, the animation studio behind\u00a0Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!<\/em>,\u00a0DEVILMAN crybaby<\/em>,\u00a0Star Wars: Visions<\/em>\u00a0(episodes \u201cT0-B1\u201d and \u201cAkakiri\u201d), and the recent hit\u00a0Scott Pilgrim Takes Off<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n Crunchyroll\u2019s official story summary for Dan Da Dan<\/em> reads: \u201cThis is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.\u00a0To prove to each other what they believe in is real, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital where a UFO has been spotted and Okarun goes to a tunnel rumored to be haunted. To their surprise, they each encounter overwhelming paranormal activities that transcend comprehension. Amid these predicaments, Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse to overcome these new\u00a0dangers! Their fateful love begins as well!?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Japanese voice cast stars\u00a0Shion Wakayama\u00a0(Takina Inoue in\u00a0Lycoris Recoil<\/em>)\u00a0as Momo;\u00a0Natsuki Hanae\u00a0(Tanjiro Kamado in\u00a0Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba<\/em>) as Okarun;\u00a0Mayumi Tanaka\u00a0(Monkey D. Luffy in\u00a0One Piece<\/em>)\u00a0as Turbo Granny; and\u00a0Kazuya Nakai\u00a0(Roronoa Zoro in\u00a0One Piece<\/em>) as the Serpoians.<\/p>\n
