Saweetie isn\u2019t one to hold her tongue, and she\u2019s now had words with a troll who attempted to come for her over her financials.<\/p>\n

The exchange went down on Twitter<\/a>\/X on Monday (March 11), following the Bay Area rapp<\/a>er getting glammed up for the Vanity Fair<\/em> Oscars after-party. In a video she posted before the event, Saweetie told her fans that she was wearing $25million worth of jewelry on her body.<\/p>\n

Upon seeing the clip, a woman retweeted it with the caption: \u201cIon be believing these celebrities got as much money as they act like they got.\u201d She was then met with a polite but biting clapback.<\/p>\n

Saweetie has been making waves with her music in 2024 following a brief hiatus. In January, she previewed a new track dubbed \u201cImmortal (Freestyle)\u201d in an Instagram post on a few days ahead of its release, to which fans responded with a bevy of overwhelmingly positive comments.<\/p>\n

Weeks later, she followed the freestyle up with an official single titled \u201cRichtivities,\u201d sparking speculations about the arrival of a new album. Unfortunately, all of the chatter surrounding her pending debut album hasn\u2019t been positive.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the Bay Area rapper retweeted a since-deleted post<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0MyMixtapes<\/em> that read: \u201cSaweetie says her debut album has been significantly delayed, not because she doesn\u2019t care about making music, but because she feels no one cares about her music.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho paying yall?\u201d she captioned the reshare, along with a screenshot of the original quote and excerpt from her recent cover story for Allure<\/a><\/em>that read: \u201c\u2018I just feel like nobody was caring about my music,\u2019 Saweetie says of the people around her at that time. \u2018To me, music is sacred.’\u201d<\/p>\n

She followed the above post with a few more comments, adding: \u201cGetting invoiced to run false news<\/a> is wild\u201d and \u201cit\u2019s giving\u2026.. obsessed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
