\n Lindsay Lohan may not like watching her own movies<\/a>, but admitted she got emotional when she saw her son watching one of her beloved films.<\/p>\n

\n The actress stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show<\/a><\/em> on Thursday, where the host asked her whether she watches the films she had starred in. Drew Barrymore noted that she can\u2019t because it feels \u201cindulgent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n While Lohan said she doesn\u2019t seek out her movies, she will occasionally have one on in the background. \u201cI mean, if someone wants to watch it and I\u2019m there, I put it on and I\u2019m like cooking in the kitchen or I have to run upstairs or I\u2019m busy doing something else, \u2019cause it\u2019s hearing my voice that I\u2019m like, \u2018Eh,’\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\n However, the actress recently caught her 8-month-old son <\/strong>Luai watching 1998\u2019s The Parent Trap<\/em>, where she played twins Hallie Parker and Annie James as a child, which instantly made her emotional.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI just wrapp<\/a>ed a movie four days ago and I came home from work and my son was getting ready for dinner time,\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd I opened the door and he was watching\u00a0The Parent Trap<\/em>. It was just on the TV.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Lohan continued, \u201cAnd I started crying because I\u2019m like, he doesn\u2019t even know that\u2019s Mommy yet. I was like, do I turn it off or do I just\u2026 he was kind of just staring. Because maybe, my voice is still similar to how it was then. So I was like, maybe he knows, like a little bit that it\u2019s me because it sounds like me. But it was a really magical moment. I took tons of pictures of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n The actress starred alongside Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson, Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter in the Nancy Meyers-directed film.<\/p>\n

\n This week, Lohan also chatted with Bustle<\/em> in a wide-ranging interview<\/a>, including becoming a first-time mother last year after welcoming her son with husband Bader Shammas.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cIt\u2019s a whole new, different kind of love you thought you could never experience,\u201d she told the magazine.<\/p>\n

\n Elsewhere in the interview, Lohan opened up about the impact child stardom had on her. The actress starred in several movies as a teen within a short time period in the early 2000s, including Freaky Friday<\/em>,\u00a0Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen<\/em> and\u00a0Mean Girls<\/em>. But between her busy work schedule and the pressure of fame, Lohan found herself battling a drug and alcohol addiction. She later entered rehab, and has previously opened up about overcoming her addiction.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI feel like some of [my work] got overshadowed by paparazzi and all that kind of stuff when I was younger, and that\u2019s kind of annoying. I wish that part didn\u2019t happen,\u201d Lohan told Bustle<\/em>. \u201cI feel like that kind of took on a life of its own. So that\u2019s why I wanted to disappear. I was like, \u2018Unless there\u2019s\u00a0no<\/em>\u00a0story here, they\u2019re not going to focus on just my work.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n While some of her other celebrity peers have reclaimed their own stories in memoirs and documentaries, Lohan said she feels like she\u2019s not ready to do that just yet. <\/p>\n

\n \u201cI congratulate all the people that [have done that]. I think it\u2019s good that they do what they want to take their power back,\u201d Lohan said. \u201cWhen I\u2019m ready and I accomplish all of the things I want to accomplish, then I\u2019ll maybe consider doing it. But my story isn\u2019t finished yet, so I\u2019m not in a rush to share my side of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
