Shakira and Cardi B are gearing up to drop their first-ever collab, \u201cPunter\u00eda,\u201d and the Colombian singer has now revealed that she \u201calways\u201d planned on having Big Bardi on the song.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the track\u2019s scheduled release on Friday (March 22), the pair released a video interviewing each other on the set of its music video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to do something with Cardi,\u201d Shakira said. \u201cWe were always discussing internally if it was a good idea to put someone on this song. I always pictured Cardi on this song. I reached out, and here we are. It\u2019s been so fun to work with you. It\u2019s so easy, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cShe\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019ll do everything.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Are you ready to work long hours? Because I work long hours.\u2019 She\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019ll be there from 6 to 6 a.m.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Cardi also spoke about meeting the singer and how nervous she was.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first met Shakira, it was in Paris at the Fendi show, and I was very, very nervous,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI was nervous because I wanted to get next to her, but I was like, \u2018I\u2019m not gonna get next to her until they call me.\u2019 I manifested it, but I didn\u2019t know when it was coming.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew it. I knew this day would come. It came. God is good, Jesus. I don\u2019t care if she wants me to meow \u2014 I\u2019m doing it. I cannot wait. Seriously, that is my dream.\u201d<\/p>\n

On a new episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game<\/em><\/a> that dropped last weekend, Cardi B revealed that she crossed paths with Shakira by chance.<\/p>\n

It really landed on my lap, so I got a record coming out with her next week,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018Bitch, I\u2019ll do whatever the fuck you want me to do, bitch. \u201cI saw her in Paris and I talked to her,\u201d she continued. \u201cI don\u2019t like being in bitch\u2019s face about it.
