Shinji Mikami, who left Tango Game<\/a>works in early 2023, has established a new studio called KAMUY, according to his creator blurb on the Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered<\/em> official website<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The blurb reads:<\/p>\n

As director and producer of the Resident Evil<\/em> and The Evil Within<\/em> series<\/a> and more, Mikami has created numerous blockbuster hit titles. 1996 saw the release of Resident Evil<\/em>, on which he acted as director. He greatly contributed to the popularization of the survival\u2013horror genre, and has had a major impact on the video game industry ever since.<\/p>\n

In 2010, Mikami founded Tango K.K. (renamed Tango Gameworks in October of the same year after becoming part of ZeniMax Media<\/a> Inc.), after which he directed and released The Evil Within<\/em>. He also acted as executive producer on Ghostwire: Tokyo<\/em> and Hi-Fi RUSH<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After leaving Tango Gameworks, he established KAMUY Inc.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It should be noted that the blurb mentions this in both the English and Japanese versions of the website. The official Japanese name is \u201c\u682a\u5f0f\u4f1a\u793e\u30ab\u30e0\u30a4.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mikami himself has not officially announced the company\u2019s establishment, so its inclusion on the website might have been an error on Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered<\/em> developer Grasshopper Manufacture\u2018s part.<\/p>\n

Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered<\/em> is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam<\/a> in 2024. Read more about the game here.<\/p>\n
