\n Millie Bobby Brown is letting her Stranger Things<\/em> \u201cPapa\u201d officiate her upcoming wedding to Jake Bongiovi.<\/p>\n

\n Matthew Modine, who plays Dr. Martin Brenner, aka Eleven\u2019s \u201cPapa,\u201d on the hit Netflix sci-fi series<\/a>, recently revealed to Access Daily<\/a><\/em> how the idea of him being the one to officiate his co-star\u2019s nuptials to Jon Bon Jovi\u2019s son came about.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it\u2019d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\n Modine noted that he has officiated a wedding once before, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n At the end of February, Brown shared the untold story of her engagement to Bongiovi during an app<\/a>earance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>, saying she had kept quiet regarding details of the proposal because she wanted to keep \u201ckey moments\u201d private. However, she told the host that it was \u201ctoo good of a story to not tell\u201d since her fianc\u00e9 decided to propose underwater.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cHe puts the ring on my hand and as I go to show him, the ring falls off my finger, plummets so fast,\u201d the actress recalled. \u201cJake threw himself into the water, like, so deep. Like, the diver was like, \u2018You can\u2019t do that. Your ears\u2014literally, your brain will explode.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n The Damsel<\/em> star first indicated that she was engaged in an April 2023 Instagram post<\/a> that featured a photo of Bongiovi embracing Brown, the latter of whom also appeared to be wearing an engagement ring at the time.<\/p>\n

\n She wrote in the caption, \u201cI\u2019ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want \u2019em all.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
