Reason has shared his biggest takeaways from the controversy surrounding Hip Hop\u2019s \u201cBig 3.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Saturday (March 23), the Porches<\/em> MC took to X (formerly Twitter<\/a>), to talk about his major takeaways from the ongoing \u201cbig three\u201d discussion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe one thing I learned from this situation is that rap is just better when all 3 are outside. They all the pinnacle of what this shit is supposed to be. It\u2019s just better that way,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

The message follows the recent exchange of iconic verses by Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole, each discussing their positions at the top of the rap game<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Friday (March 22), K.Dot shook up the rap scene with a new verse on Future and Metro Boomin\u2018s latest collaborative album We Don\u2019t Trust You<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The former TDE rapp<\/a>er fires off several shots in his verse, starting strong with a reference to Drizzy and Cole\u2019s No. 1 single \u201cFirst Person Shooter,\u201d accusing the pair of \u201csneak dissin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, get up with me\/ Fuck sneak dissin\u2019, first person shooter\/ I hope they came with three switches<\/em>,\u201d he raps.<\/p>\n

Kendrick Lamar then directly references \u201cthe big three,\u201d which is commonly known as himself, Drake and J. Cole, claiming it\u2019s only him at the top of the rap chain.<\/p>\n

He also compares himself to\u00a0Prince\u00a0and the others to\u00a0Michael Jackson, suggesting his work will outlive that of both his peers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThink I won\u2019t drop the location? I still got PTSD\/ Muthafuck the big three, n-gga, it\u2019s just big me\/ N-gga, bum, what? I\u2019m really like that\/ And your best work is a light pack\/ N-gga, Prince outlived Mike Jack\u2019,<\/em>\u201d he spits.<\/p>\n

Kenny wraps it up by nodding Drake\u2019s 2023 album For All the Dogs<\/em> and Stephen King\u2019s classic 1983 novel Pet Sematary<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cN-gga, bum, \u2018fore all your dogs gettin\u2019 buried\/ That\u2019s a K with all these nines, he gon\u2019 see Pet Sematary<\/em>,\u201d he raps.<\/p>\n

In October, J. Cole mentioned Kendrick Lamar\u2019s name and \u201cthe big three\u201d on \u201cFirst Person Shooter,\u201d but took the crown by comparing himself to the late, great Muhammad Ali.<\/p>\n

\u201cLove when they argue the hardest MC\/ Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?\/ We the big three like we started a league, but right now, I feel like Muhammad Ali<\/em>,\u201d he rapped.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Drake shaded Kendrick by stating it\u2019s just him and Cole who hold the \u201cgreatest of all time\u201d title.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho the G.O.A.T.? Who you bitches really rooting for?\/ Like a kid that act bad from January to November, n-gga, it\u2019s just you and Cole<\/em>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

We Don\u2019t Trust You,<\/em> dropped on Epic Records, boasts surprise cameos from Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, and Rick Ross.<\/p>\n

With 17 tracks, the album derives its name from Metro Boomin\u2019s iconic tagline, \u201cIf young Metro don\u2019t trust you, I\u2019m gon\u2019 shoot you,\u201d famously uttered by Future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
