Joe Budden believes that Kendrick Lamar\u2019s news<\/a>worthy verse on \u201cLike That\u201d has exploded \u201cphony friendships.\u201d<\/p>\n

On an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast<\/em> from Sunday (March 24), the Hip Hop personality explained that the instantly iconic K.Dot diss verse aimed at Drake and J. Cole from Future\u00a0and\u00a0Metro Boomin\u2018s new release\u00a0WE DON\u2019T TRUST YOU<\/em> exposed how hollow the friendships between many MCs actually are.<\/p>\n

Budden brought up the fact that Travis Scott asked Future and Metro Boomin to play the track at Rolling Loud L.A. despite his connection to Drizzy.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot you [Travis], hopping around on stage like a fuckity-fuck, saying, \u2018Play the Drake diss. I hate these phony friendships. Enough of this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Budden suggested that this might bring an end to the artificial relationships that he sees in rap, which Kendrick discussed on \u201cLike That.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI love that Future is the one to break up all of these monetized friendships\u2026All of the Drake all-stars that n-ggas be too scared to press Drake about, that\u2019s [Rick] Ross, that\u2019s [DJ] Khaled, that\u2019s Young Thug, that\u2019s the whole crop\u2026He didn\u2019t do that with Future.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also called out Travis directly, saying: \u201cTravis, you phony-ass n-gga\u2026Travis at Rolling Loud: \u2018Oh, play this one! Play the diss!\u2019 This was the song!\u201d<\/p>\n

The drama between Future, Metro, Kendrick and Drizzy began when Hendrix and Metro dropped WE DON\u2019T TRUST<\/em> YOU, which features a s<\/em>cathing Kendrick Lamar\u2018s guest verse on the new track \u201cLike That.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album has fans speculating as to whether they have both fallen out with Drake.<\/p>\n

After hearing that song in particular,\u00a0fans across social media<\/a> began wondering what it might mean for Drake and Future.<\/p>\n

As listeners began dissecting what they believe to be a pretty clear narrative \u2014 with the general<\/a> consensus that Drake may have shared something with a lover that made its way back to Future \u2014 other eagle-eyed social media users noticed that Metro Boomin seems to have unfollowed his \u201cKnife Talk\u201d collaborator on Instagram.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
