\n Beyonc\u00e9 has officially released Act II:\u00a0Cowboy Carter<\/em>, the follow-up to her Grammy-winning album Renaissance<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n The album, which features a 27-song\u00a0tracklist, is not only Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s first country album but it\u2019s also the second installment in a potential trilogy or series<\/a> of albums beginning with\u00a0Renaissance<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n Earlier this week, she released the complete tracklist on her Instagram, which includes a cover of Dolly Parton\u2019s classic hit \u201cJolene,\u201d as well as a collaboration with genre legend\u00a0Willie Nelson on a song titled \u201cSmoke Hour.\u201d Post Malone\u00a0is also reportedly featured on the track \u201cLevii\u2019s Jeans,\u201d while\u00a0Miley Cyrus\u00a0is a guest vocalist on \u201cII Most Wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Apart from her previously released singles \u201c16 Carriages\u201d and \u201cTexas Hold \u2019Em,\u201d other track titles are \u201cBodyguard,\u201d \u201cAlligator Tears,\u201d \u201cAmen,\u201d \u201cSweet Honey Buckin\u201d and a cover of The Beatles\u2019 \u201cBlackbird.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Last month, Parton also celebrated Beyonc\u00e9 on social media<\/a> after she became the first Black woman to have a chart-topping track on the Billboard Hot Country chart<\/a> thanks to \u201cTexas Hold \u2019Em.\u201d The country icon wrote, \u201cI\u2019m a big fan of Beyonc\u00e9 and very excited that she\u2019s done a country album.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Beyonc\u00e9 previously shared what led to the creation of Cowboy Carter<\/em>, which has been in the making for more than five years. She wrote on Instagram earlier in March that the album spawned from her not feeling \u201cwelcomed\u201d in the genre after previously facing criticisms when she initially tried to enter the country space.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cIt was very clear that I wasn\u2019t,\u201d she wrote at the time. \u201cBut, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of\u00a0Country music\u00a0and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n The \u201cCUFF IT\u201d singer added, \u201cThis genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
