Kodak Black app<\/a>arently can\u2019t get in touch with Plies to clear a sample for his new song, so he\u2019s put the call out on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram Live on Thursday (March 28), Yak made a plea for the \u201cShawty\u201d creator or anyone on his team to help him out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need somebody from Plies camp or Plies himself or whatever to tighten down,\u201d he said. \u201c\u2018Cause I got a song that I\u2019m tryna drop and I need the clearance from Plies. I had redid one of his songs and I need the shit cleared. I grew up off that boy. I fuck with Plies tough. If you hear this or see this, let that boy know.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting the pair have collaborated on numerous songs in the past, including an entire mixtape in 2017 named F.E.M.A. (Finesse. Elevate. Motivate. Achieve.)<\/em> And just last month, Kodak appeared on a Plies-sampled song alongside Major Nine<\/a>. However, Yak was just a guest feature, so the onus to clear the sample would not have fallen on him.<\/p>\n

Kodak Black was released from prison in February after admitting to a probation violation though additional charges related to drug possession were dropped.<\/p>\n

The rapper appeared to get himself into trouble immediately after exiting jail after getting into a confrontation with local media, but his attorney Bradford Cohen thinks Yak is a victim in the situation.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post, Cohen slammed the mainstream media for focusing on negative stories about the rapper and not positive ones such as him donating money to the family of a slain police officer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure the mainstream won\u2019t carry it. @tmz_tv will probably only run something negative,\u201d he wrote. \u201cBut we know how @kodakblack moves and what he\u2019s been doing since day one. It\u2019s a shame when people only want negativity on someone.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate post, Cohen wrote: \u201cIn typically Kodak fashion, he just pledged to donate to the college fund of a 2-year-old and a 5 month old. Whose father was a Minnesota officer killed recently in the line of duty. Expecting his 2nd son this Friday, he knows how important family is and hopes it helps relieve some burden.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after being released from jail, Kodak was seen throwing rocks at a camera operator and threatened to punch a broadcast journalist.<\/p>\n

The reporter for Local 10 confirmed that a police report had been filed against the rapper for his actions outside the jail as the rocks injured the camera operator.<\/p>\n

Kodak Black (real name Bill Kapri) had been in jail since December after he was arrested for oxycodone possession, evidence tampering and being improperly parked.<\/p>\n

The drug possession charge was dismissed after prosecutors could not determine whether Kodak had a prescription for oxycodone, as he had previously claimed. Black had repeatedly claimed that the substance was not cocaine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
