Makoto Kimura<\/strong>, who was recently producer and music producer on the MAPP<\/a>A <\/strong>original action anime<\/a> Bucchigiri?!<\/em>, has announced a new company called BLUE RIGHTS<\/strong>. He also revealed that his departure from MAPPA happened in late March.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his X (formerly Twitter<\/a>) post, Kimura mentioned that he will strive to have a scheme where creators can be happy<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kimura\u2019s announcement was posted just a couple of days after MAPPA revealed some changes to its management<\/a> structure. As part of those changes, animation producers Hiroya Hasegawa<\/strong> (Vinland Saga<\/em>, The Ancient Magus\u2019 Bride<\/em> Season 2) and Keisuke Seshimo<\/strong> (Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em>, Chainsaw Man<\/em>) became executive vice-president and executive officer, respectively. Additionally, Vinland Saga<\/em> director Shuuhei Yabuta<\/strong> is now a board member at the studio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before his MAPPA days, Kimura was a producer for Fuji TV\u2019s Noitamina block. He later joined the anime holding and planning company\u00a0Twin Engine\u00a0<\/strong>for a time. 2014\u2019s Terror in Resonance<\/em>, on which he was credited as a Fuji TV-affiliated producer, marked his first involvement in a MAPPA production.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from Bucchigiri?!<\/em>, Kimura\u2019s recent MAPPA credits include Maborosh<\/em>i (production), Jujutsu Kaisen <\/em>Season 2 (producer), Hell\u2019s Paradise<\/em> (associate producer), Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill\u00a0<\/i>(music producer and production), Vinland Saga<\/em> Season 2 (associate producer), and Chainsaw Man<\/em> (music planning producer and production). Crunchyroll Expo 2022 listed him as MAPPA\u2019s executive director and rights management director.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2023, freelancer Ryuu Nakayama<\/strong>, who directed Chainsaw Man<\/em> for MAPPA and was involved in a training initiative from the studio, founded the studio Andraft<\/strong>, which seeks to be an \u201cenvironment where we can continue to take on various challenges without being bound by existing concepts and maintain that impetus for as long as possible.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2021, director Sunghoo Park\u00a0<\/b>(Jujutsu Kaisen 0<\/em>,, Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> Season 1, Tower of God<\/em>) left MAPPA and founded E&H Production<\/strong>, whose released productions so far include\u00a0Monsters 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation<\/em> and Ninja Kamui<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
