The Rascal Does Not Dream<\/em> light novel series<\/a>, which began in 2014 and has so far spawned an anime<\/a> series plus three anime movies, will come to an end later this year with the release of its 14th and 15th volumes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These two volumes, which together constitute the \u201cFinal Chapter\u201d of the series, will be released on August 9 and October 10. Volume 14 is titled Seishun Buta Yaro wa Girlfriend no Yume wo Minai<\/em> (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Girlfriend<\/em>), while Volume 15 is Seishun Buta Yaro wa Dear Friend no Yume wo Minai<\/em> (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Both will receive special editions with drama CDs written by author Hajime Kamoshida<\/strong> bundled with the book, with the reservation period ending on June 9. Each drama CD contains two stories.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additional set options for both the regular volume and drama CD bundle will also be available. Rascal Does Not Dream of a Girlfriend\u00a0<\/em>will have an acrylic plate set, while Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend\u00a0<\/em>gets a storage box set and an acrylic plate + storage box set on top of that.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rascal Does Not Dream\u00a0<\/em>series is published under KADOKAWA\u2019s Dengeki Bunko label <\/span>and is illustrated by<\/span> Keji Mizoguchi<\/strong>. The 13th volume was released in July 2023. Some of the arcs have been adapted into manga by various mangaka.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yen Press, which publishes the books in English, describes the first volume, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai<\/em>, as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Bunny girls do not live in libraries. This is simply common sense. And yet, that\u2019s exactly where Sakuta finds one in the wild. More bewildering is who the bunny girl is: Mai Sakurajima, a girl one year older than Sakuta, famous at their school for her acting career even though she\u2019s currently on break. To top it all off, it seems like no one else in the library can see Mai at all, no matter what she does or\u2026wears. Wanting to find out more about this mystery and maybe get a little closer to this beautiful upperclassman in the process, Sakuta launches an investigation to discover why an unforgettable bunny girl keeps becoming totally invisible.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

An anime adaptation of the \u201cUniversity Student Arc,\u201d which starts from the 10th volume, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Lost Singer<\/em>, was announced last December. The adaptation of the \u201cHigh School Arc\u201d ended with 2023\u2019s Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out<\/em> and\u00a0Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid<\/em> movies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime series and movies are directed by Soichi Masui <\/strong>at Cloverworks <\/strong>with\u00a0Masahiro Yokotani\u00a0<\/strong>as series composer\/script<\/a>writer and\u00a0Satomi Tamura\u00a0<\/strong>as character designer. The cast includes\u00a0Kaito Ishikawa\u00a0<\/strong>as Sakuta,\u00a0Asami Seto<\/strong>\u00a0as Mai Sakurajima,\u00a0Nao Touyama<\/strong>\u00a0as Tomoe Koga,\u00a0Atsumi Tanezaki<\/strong>\u00a0as Rio Futaba,\u00a0Maaya Uchida<\/strong>\u00a0as Nodoka Toyohama,\u00a0Yurika Kubo\u00a0<\/strong>as Kaede Azusagawa, and\u00a0Inori Minase<\/strong>\u00a0as Shoko Makinohara.<\/span><\/p>\n
