A new visual for the original anime<\/a> film Fureru.<\/em> has been released and reveals in full \u201cFureru,\u201d the furry creature that plays a pivotal part in the story.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the movie, main characters Aki, Ryo, and Yuuta develop telepathic-like powers after touching Fureru, a porcupine-resembling creature that is part of the local folklore of the childhood friends\u2018 island hometown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fureru.<\/em> is set for a fall 2024 theatrical release in Japan. It is the latest project involving the Super Peace Busters \u2014 director Tatsuyuki Nagai<\/b>\u00a0(A Certain Scientific Railgun T<\/i>), script<\/a>writer Mari Okada<\/b>\u00a0(Maboroshi <\/i>and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms<\/em> director and writer), and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka<\/b>\u00a0(Suzume, Darling in the Franxx<\/i>). The three previously collaborated on\u00a0Anohana<\/i>, The Anthem of the Heart<\/i>, and\u00a0Her Blue Sky<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
