\n Ryan Gosling just can\u2019t let go of his character Ken from Barbie<\/em> during his Saturday Night Live<\/em> monologue.<\/p>\n

\n Though he initially said he wasn\u2019t going to talk about Ken because he \u201cbroke up\u201d with the character after going \u201ctoo deep,\u201d he ultimately decided to sing about his feelings with a rendition of Taylor Swift\u2019s hit song \u201cAll Too Well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cYou know, when you play a character that hard, that long, just letting go feels like a breakup and for processing a breakup, there\u2019s really only one thing that can help: The music of the great Taylor Swift,\u201d the La La Land<\/em> actor said.<\/p>\n

\n Gosling then proceeded to sing, \u201cI shredded Venice Beach is true \/ My clothes were tight \/ But something about that spandex felt so right \/ I left my rollerblades in that big pink house \/ But I still got that fur coat and I\u2019ll wear that right now (Cue him putting on the iconic Ken coat).\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cIf I said that I was doing fine, you know I\u2019d be lying \/ \u2018Cause I was just Ken and now I\u2019m just Ryan,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\n Emily Blunt then proceeded to cut off Gosling\u2019s song, (jokingly) annoyed that he was still singing about Ken, even though he\u2019s supposed to be promoting their upcoming movie The Fall Guy<\/em>. \u201cWhat are you doing?\u201d she asked, adding that they had a plan to do a \u201cbunch of stunts.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI was gonna hit you with things and instead you\u2019re singing about Ken again,\u201d Blunt told the actor. \u201cLook here, you\u2019re Kenning right now, and I hate that\u2019s even a verb. I resent that. Take the fur coat off. You\u2019re embarrassing yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n After getting a sigh from the audience, the Oppenheimer<\/em> actress added, \u201cGuys, I don\u2019t mean to be harsh, but Ryan, you have to move on. It\u2019s time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n While Gosling app<\/a>eared to agree, he quickly noted that he \u201cjust can\u2019t\u201d move on and broke out in another musical number. \u201cHere we are again on the technicolor beach \/ I didn\u2019t win the Oscar it was just out of reach \/ I was there \/ Bleach blond hair \/ Now it\u2019s time to wish Ken farewell,\u201d he sang right before Blunt hit him over the head with a bottle.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThat\u2019s how this is gonna go,\u201d she said, as Gosling yelled in response, \u201cWhat the hell, Emily?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cYou were a stuntman [in The Fall Guy<\/em>] and you can take a hit and look how cool that was,\u201d Blunt said. But just as Gosling was going to add that Ken would think stunts are \u201cpretty cool\u201d as well, she hit the actor with a chair.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cKen\u2019s dead. All right, Ken is dead,\u201d The Devil Wears Prada<\/em> actress exclaimed.<\/p>\n

\n However, The Nice Guys<\/em> actor went on to reminisce about their \u201cBarbenheimer\u201d phenomenon last summer, asking Blunt if she ever misses the Oscar-winning Oppenheimer<\/em> movie. And it\u2019s safe to say she does, as they both went on to sing their version of \u201cAll Too Well\u201d together.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWe were Kitty and Ken \/ I wish you could have seen us \/ You were loyal to the end \/ And your guy had no penis,\u201d Gosling and Blunt sang. \u201cMust confess \/ We\u2019re a mess to impress \/ Now it\u2019s time to wish Ken and Kitty both of them farewell.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Earlier, during the SNL<\/em> cold open, Kate McKinnon also returned for another iconic \u201cClose Encounter\u201d sketch with Gosling. Sarah Sherman, Bowen Yang and Mikey Day were also featured in the skit.<\/p>\n

\n McKinnon\u2019s Colleen Rafferty, Gosling\u2019s Todd and Sherman recounted being abducted by aliens again, except this time, Colleen demonstrated how the aliens were interested in Todd\u2019s private part, or as she also called it, his \u201ctroll nose.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cJust in case you are wondering, I did not become aroused,\u201d Gosling\u2019s Todd made sure to note. \u201cAnytime I felt like I might, I just looked at Colleen here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n McKinnon, Gosling and Cecily Strong debuted the first \u201cClose Encounter\u201d sketch<\/a> in December 2015, which saw Gosling and Strong\u2019s characters recounting positive interactions with aliens. However, McKinnon\u2019s character hilariously described a less-than-pleasant interaction with them.<\/p>\n

\n The trio reprised their characters again in October 2017<\/a> for another memorable sketch about an alien abduction.<\/p>\n

\n Later in the show, basketball star Caitlin Clark made a surprise appearance on \u201cWeekend Update\u201d to roast Michael Che regarding a sexist joke.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThe University of Iowa announced that basketball star Caitlin Clark will have her jersey retired and replaced with an apron,\u201d\u00a0Che said before introducing Clark ahead of the WNBA draft on Monday.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI am a fan, Caitlin, by the way,\u201d the comedia<\/a>n added, but the former Iowa Hawkeyes player quickly responded, \u201cReally, Michael? Because I heard that little apron joke you did.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Gosling hosted the sketch comedy show for the third time Saturday, with musical guest Chris Stapleton.<\/p>\n
