\n The 30th edition of amfAR\u2018s Cannes gala now has a host: Demi Moore.<\/p>\n

\n The actress has been tapp<\/a>ed for an official role at the glitzy event, which will take place at the end of this year\u2019s Cannes Film Festival on May 23. She will be joined at the gala by Cher, who is confirmed to take the stage as the night\u2019s musical headliner. It marks a reunion for the organization and the two stars as\u00a0Cher\u00a0and Moore\u00a0were part of the event\u2019s early success, attending and chairing Cannes\u2019 amfAR galas in 1996 and 1997, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWe are excited and grateful to have Demi Moore back with amfAR in Cannes. She joined us at the gala in 1997, helping to raise critical funds for AIDS research, and she has been a loyal supporter ever since,\u201d said amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost.<\/p>\n

\n The exclusive black-tie event, which has raised $264 million for amfAR\u2019s programs since its inception, will take place at the famed H\u00f4tel du Cap-Eden-Roc and will feature additional special performances and a live auction\u00a0of luxury goods, experiences and art\u00a0led by auctioneer\u00a0Simon de Pury.\u00a0Longtime amfAR supporter\u00a0Carine Roitfeld\u00a0will once again curate a fashion show featuring ensembles from top designers.\u00a0Presenting sponsors include\u00a0Chopard\u00a0and the\u00a0Red Sea International Film Festival with signature sponsors Homolog\u00a0and\u00a0DraftKings and additional support provided by G\u00e9rard Bertrand, Piper-Heidsieck\u00a0and\u00a0Rumor Ros\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\n It\u2019s shaping up to be a busy Cannes for\u00a0Moore,\u00a0who has a film selected for the festival competition with Coralie Fargeat\u2019s The Substance<\/em> co-starring Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid. Coming off a starring role in Feud: Capote vs. The Swans<\/em>, Moore will soon be seen Paramount+\u2019s upcoming drama Landman<\/em> from Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace opposite Jon Hamm and Billy Bob Thornton.<\/p>\n

\n The 77th Cannes Film Festival opens May 14 and continues through May 25.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
