Reason has seemingly hinted at a split from his longtime label Top Dawg Entertainment soon after coming under fire for showing his support for Drake.<\/p>\n

Shortly after Drizzy\u2019s diss aimed at TDE alum Kendrick Lamar (among others) began circulating online, Reason took to X (formerly known as Twitter<\/a>) to praise the song\u2019s production.<\/p>\n

\u201cNah this final production CRAZY,\u201d he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.<\/p>\n

Upon being called out for it<\/a>, he simply replied with some laughing emojis and added: \u201cI just like good production man.\u201d<\/p>\n

A blog page then tweeted that the rapp<\/a>er had been dropped from TDE, to which he responded with a cap emoji and: \u201cHaven\u2019t got no papers yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

When a fan asked for clarity on the \u201cyet,\u201d he seemed to confirm that the split is inevitable with: \u201cYea bro, been asking for a min.\u201d<\/p>\n

There seems to have been some tension between Reason and TDE for some time now as he alleged last summer that no one from the label showed up to his album listening party for Porches<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a release party, and nobody showed up from the label, so\u2026\u201d he said on the Rory & Mal<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n

When the hosts asked if Reason was being serious, he re-emphasized the point and answered: \u201cRay Vaughn showed up \u2014 shout out to Ray Vaughn. I took it as, y\u2019know, maybe n-ggas giving me some space.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier that month, the Carson rapper got into an argument with the label\u2019s co-president Moosa during an interview with BACKONFIGG<\/em>, where he aired out his frustrations with the rollout of the aforementioned album.<\/p>\n

With imprint DJ MackWop next to him, Reason accused the powerhouse West Coast label of failing to execute various plans that would drum up excitement for his LP\u2019s release and fumbling big-name features from Latto\u00a0and\u00a0EST Gee.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had certain features lined up that could\u2019ve gone through,\u201d he vented. \u201cWe had the budget, we had the feature lined up, takes too long to get pushed through, the feature price ended up going up or something goes away. Content ideas lined up, not executed. Rollout ideas lined up, not executed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a few different things. I had Latto lined up for something, not executed. I had EST Gee lined up, not executed. Like, us not pushing through. Features lined up, we got a price set, video, and verse for the love, takes too long.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI\u2019ll speak on the EST Gee shit specifically \u2014 took too long to get through to EST Gee and his people and be like, \u2018Yo, this is what we wanna do.\u2019 By the time we ended up connecting with him and reaching out, he dropped a record with\u00a0Future\u00a0and the record went crazy. Now, the feature is $25,000 more than what it already was.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
