The florist where she works has a job for her: delivering a bouquet to Trent Reznor while dressed as a clown. The other members of her current band, Purest Form, shake their heads on our video call, and, im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely, come to a unanimous decision: from now on, their bassist will be performing in clown makeup with a bouquet on hand \u2014 just in case the Nine Inch Nails bandleader h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens to be at their show.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            Reznor\u2019s pioneering group is probably Purest Form\u2019s most notable influence, its impact is evident on all three songs from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/purestform.bandcamp.com\/album\/self-titled\">the L.A.-based band\u2019s self-titled debut EP<\/a>. You can hear it in the raw fury contained within Story Beeson\u2019s voice, Joyner\u2019s punishing bass, and the distorted feedback of Madison Woodward\u2019s guitar. Still, Woodward says the band\u2019s music was made in response to the subgenre \u201c\u00fcber-purists\u201d out there; they hope that most record store employees will struggle with which section of the store to put the album in.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-261261\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>            <iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 350px; height: 470px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=1331712383\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/transparent=true\/\" seamless><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/purestform.bandcamp.com\/album\/self-titled\">SELF-TITLED by PUREST FORM<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-261263\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>            \u201cNot to sound dorky, but the sounds we\u2019ve [made since the beginning] feel like our \u2018Purest Form,\u2019\u201d he explains, adding that the EP was a sonic \u201ccatch-all for everything we like.\u201d Throughout our conversation, the members of Purest Form build a sprawling list of musical influences: Ministry, Slayer, Godflesh, and Genesis P-Orridge, as well as big beat electronic acts like The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. And while there are also a few mentions of several left-field electronic musicians ranging from Sophie and Aphex Twin, the most surprising name by far is Madonna, whose <i>Ray of Light<\/i> era contains the kind of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>ped-out, hypnotic dance music\u201d that makes the self-titled so catchy, per Beeson.   <\/p>\n<p>            Built layer-by-layer, the EP is an ever-evolving shapeshifter of a record, where a galloping synth can seamlessly match the pace of thrash-inducing riffs of \u201cOptic,\u201d or a series of deathcore breakdowns can be preceded by the stilted recitation of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/AskHistorians\/comments\/668auy\/you_will_be_hung_by_the_neck_until_deadfor_lesser\/\">an old English death sentencing phrase<\/a> on \u201cSelf Destruction.\u201d There\u2019s the scuzzy guitar of \u201cBroke,\u201d joined by a tinny rattle and post-punk synth, all accompanied by Beeson\u2019s incensed screams that rage against the alienation of our techno-capitalist world. But her message is a lot more than just a surface-level \u201cfuck you\u201d or \u201cI\u2019m pissed off.\u201d It\u2019s a scathing critique of our rapid dystopian descent and our collective anger toward all the bullshit that made us listen to \u201cdark\u201d music in the first place.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-261265\" class=\"content_block breaker triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left video\">\n<div class=\"media_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\" style=\"padding-top: 56.25%;\">\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Purest Form - Self Destruction\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M1TTJsaHuz4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n \/\/trackYouTubeVideo('261265');\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-261264\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>            For anyone who grew up with these bone-breaking genres before expanding their musical horizons, it\u2019ll feel like a return to the days when someone else gave voice to how much you hurt. Purest Form understand that sometimes you need the relentless pummel of a classic industrial-style drum machine, or the sound of a power drill, or the crash of a rock falling down the stairs, just to drown out the extra noise.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            \u201cPeople say that heavy music incites violence, and I think it&#8217;s actually suppressed a lot of mine,\u201d Beeson says, before Joyner agrees that the \u201cvisceral\u201d force of listening to a rage-filled onslaught of rage-fueled screams has always helped to \u201csilence the borderline [thoughts] in my brain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>            \u201cIt stops crazy thoughts in their tracks.
