Questlove is the proud owner of some major music memorabilia in his home, including the drum machine used to make Beastie Boys\u2018 License to Ill<\/em> and Slick Rick\u2018s The Great Adventures of Slick Rick<\/em>.<\/p>\n

For his first-ever TikTok, shared on Wednesday (April 17), The Roots drummer got into the \u2018I\u2019m [blank], of course I [blank]\u2019 trend by doing one about the memorabilia he owns as a legendary music maker himself.<\/p>\n

Among the other prized possessions Questo showed off wer Prince\u2019s tambourine, Michael Jackson\u2018s drummer John Robinson\u2019s snare from the \u201cRock With You\u201d sessions from Off The Wall<\/em>, Jennifer Lopez\u2018s robe and more.<\/p>\n

In his decades-long career, Questlove has been around for and been a part of some major moments in music. Last month, he shared a story about a time when Prince kicked De La Soul out of their own studio session.<\/p>\n

Quest was a guest on De La\u2019s new App<\/a>le Music 1 show Art Official Intelligence Radio with De La Soul<\/em> where they discussed the recording of the group\u2019s 2000 album Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump<\/em>.<\/p>\n

While they were recording the song \u201cView,\u201d Quest revealed that Prince dropped by the studio.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came in to \u2018View\u2019 when we were trying to fix it. You guys had a sample issue with Ode to Billy Joe<\/em> \u2014 the drum break that is on \u2018View,\u2019\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe get to the studio and then you and I were greeted by a bunch of security, Secret Service-looking men, and then Clive Davis and Prince walk in. And then the management of Electric Lady lets us know.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cPrince wanted to play for Clive Davis so we got kicked out of our own session so that Prince could play Clive Davis [his 2001 album] Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when I was drumming that line, \u2018I may be old school, but I\u2019m not an old fool\u2019<\/em> \u2014 that\u2019s like my all time favorite line. It\u2019s always the filler that I like.\u201d<\/p>\n
