Kid Cudi ended up breaking his foot when he jumped off the stage during his last-minute performance at Coachella, though he learned a valuable lesson in the process.<\/p>\n

In a video shared to X (formerly Twitter<\/a>) on Monday morning (April 22), the Ohio native accepted that he may just be past his prime rage age.<\/p>\n

\u201cUm, yeah. Shit got real yesterday,\u201d he said while lying in bed. \u201cThis is what happ<\/a>ens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off stage like he\u2019s 26, like he used to do back in the day. I learned a valuable lesson \u2014 no more prancing around and jumping off stages.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hoping that I\u2019ll be healed up in time for tour. That\u2019s the plan. I don\u2019t wanna let you guys down, so yeah, that\u2019s what we\u2019re aiming for. Not cancelling anything just yet.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cJust gonna wait and see how things go. But I\u2019m okay; little sore. Yesterday was a lot of pain, but I\u2019m doing better now. I have a little temporary cast on and I gotta go get a real cast in a little bit. Apparently, I broke something in my heel.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a major setback. But don\u2019t worry, I\u2019ma bounce back. I love y\u2019all, all day! Engage the rage, but not at 40.\u201d<\/p>\n

During his performance in Indio over the weekend, the rapper and singer decided to jump off the stage (presumably to mingle with fans) but botched his landing.<\/p>\n

A video of the incident shows him making his way to the edge of the stage and almost losing his balance, before taking the 6-foot-plus dive and crash landing on the floor.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDay \u2018N\u2019 Nite\u201d hitmaker then lay on the ground in pain for several moments as security come to his aid. He was unable to continue performing, forcing him to cut his set short. After the curtailed performance, he revealed on social media that he was taken to hospital with a broken foot.<\/p>\n

Cudi was a late addition to the second and final weekend of Coachella. He announced he would be performing at the festival just five days before it restarted as he was drafted in to replace Canadian singer AP Dhillon.<\/p>\n

\u201cINSANO BOY IS COMIN,\u201d he wrote on Instagram alongside a poster and a timetable, showing him scheduled for roughly 40 minutes set on the Sahara stage starting at 5:10 p.m. PST.<\/p>\n

Prior to breaking his foot, he performed fan-favorite hits like \u201cTequila Shots,\u201d \u201cUp Up & Away\u201d and \u201cMemories\u201d with David Guetta as well as material from his latest albums, INSANO<\/em> and INSANO (NITRO MEGA)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
