Russell Brand<\/strong> is ready for a rebrand.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the disgraced actor took to Instagram<\/strong> to reveal that in an attempt to \u201cleave the past behind,\u201d he\u2019s adopting Christianity and getting baptized. Oh, lord\u2026<\/p>\n

He rambled off in a lengthy video:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Sunday I\u2019m taking the plunge; I\u2019m getting baptized. At a moment, I\u2019m very curious as to what you who have been baptized feel about it, what your expectations are of the event prior, and what it\u2019s actually like.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s been explained to me is that it\u2019s an opportunity to die and be reborn. An opportunity to leave the past behind and be reborn in Christ\u2019s name, like it says in Galatians that you can live as an enlightened and awakened person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Uhhh, yeah, in his case, we don\u2019t think that\u2019s really how it works.<\/p>\n

Last September, the 48-year-old was hit with bombshell accusations of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse of four women \u2014 one of which was underage! In the following months, more horrendous claims kept rolling in and icky old interviews began resurfacing, which did NOT paint him in a good light. MULTIPLE investigations were also launched, so while he may be ready to \u201cleave the past behind,\u201d the law might not be so ready.<\/p>\n
