As a result, the comedian said, he was left with \u201cincredibly runny\u201d eyes and a mouth that \u201creally hurt.\u201d He also experienced \u201cburning\u201d across his skin, especially where the substance was stuck underneath his wedding ring. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cYou wash your hands right afterward, but some of the sauce got underneath my wedding ring,\u201d he said. \u201cI took it off and I was like, \u2018Oh right, there\u2019s acid underneath it.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Conan O&#039;Brien Needs a Doctor While Eating Spicy Wings | Hot Ones\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FALlhXl6CmA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    O\u2019Brien said he doesn\u2019t typically eat spicy food \u2014 not even tabasco or tapat\u00edo \u2014 but that there\u2019s not much he won\u2019t do in pursuit of a joke. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cIf I think something will be funny, I\u2019ll do it and deal with it later,\u201d he said, before detailing exactly what it was like dealing with the result of the spice intake. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cI found a construction site where they were doing spot welding, and I went there. And I said, \u2018Gentleman, if you want, I can weld these girders for you in, I\u2019m guessing, about 15 minutes. You\u2019ll need to avert your eyes because I\u2019ll be dropping my pants,&#8217;\u201d he joked. \u201cSo there\u2019s a building in the Mid-Wilshire district that\u2019s going up, and I think I did about 65 rivets in the building. People were driving by saying, \u2018Conan O\u2019Brien\u2019s pants are around his ankles, and I think fire is shooting out of his ass, and he\u2019s welding a building.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Despite the extreme performance, O\u2019Brien said he didn\u2019t go into the day with much of a plan. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cI was aware of the show, obviously it\u2019s very successful show,\u201d he said. \u201cI went in thinking, whatever happens, I just have to eat all the wings, and just go for it and make a fool of myself.
