A California man has been indicted by an Atlanta grand jury on charges of threatening Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D), according<\/a> to a Friday press release from the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.<\/p>\n

Marc Shultz, 66, of Chula Vista, Calif., reportedly made the threats due to Wills\u2019 prosecution of former President Trump.<\/p>\n

In October of last year, Shultz \u201callegedly posted multiple comments to two separate YouTube<\/a> live stream videos\u201d that \u201cthreatened District Attorney Willis with violence and murder including a statement that she \u2018will be killed like a dog,\u201d per Buchanan, Shultz\u2019 indictment and \u201cother information presented in court,\u201d the press release said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThreats against any individual, credible or not, is a very serious crime that the FBI will not tolerate,\u201d Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta Keri Farley said in the release. \u201cThreats of violence against government officials, specifically, threaten the very fabric of our democracy.\u00a0 We want everyone to know that if you engage in such behavior, you will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willis thanked \u201cU.S. Attorney Ryan Buchanan, his staff and the FBI for believing the life of an African American elected official has value and for their diligent efforts in ensuring the safety of myself, my staff, and our families\u201d in a statement, according to<\/a> Fox5 Atlanta.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
