\n Hollywood A-listers took to social media<\/a> this weekend to honor Sam Rubin, the beloved KTLA anchor who died on Friday. <\/p>\n

\n \u201cYour professionalism was unmatched by your kindness and humanity,\u201d Viola Davis wrote on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cI will miss your presence on The Red Carpet. God bless your loved ones. Godspeed.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n Rubin was a popular entertainment anchor on\u00a0KTLA-TV\u2019s morning show, and app<\/a>eared across Hollywood at award shows and red carpet events. He died of a heart attack on Friday at age 64.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cKTLA 5 is profoundly saddened to report the death of Sam Rubin,\u201d the\u00a0channel wrote on X<\/a>\u00a0(formerly Twitter). \u201cSam was a giant in the local news<\/a> industry and the entertainment world and a fixture of Los Angeles morning television for decades. His laugh, charm and caring personality touched all who knew him. Sam was a loving husband and father: the roles he cherished the most. Our thoughts are with Sam\u2019s family during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Comedian John Mulaney also took a moment to honor Rubin at the end of his final episode of John Mulaney Presents: Everybody\u2019s in L.A.<\/em>, which aired live on Netflix on Friday night. <\/p>\n

\n \u201cA special L.A. goodbye to Mr. Sam Rubin,\u201d Mulaney told the crowd before signing off. <\/p>\n

\n Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos honored Rubin on Instagram<\/a>, writing, \u201cAwards season Red Carpets will never be the same without KTLA\u2019s Sam Rubin. Always having the most fun and always a smile and a laugh. He was a legend in this town.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n On Twitter, Ryan Reynolds wrote<\/a>: \u201cEven if I was on my 85th interview that day, I was always happy to see Sam. Even if HE was on his 85th interview that day, he always brought genuine kindness, curiosity and an outside the box question.\u201d <\/p>\n
