The AI then learns to predict how natural disasters will unfold with metre-scale accuracy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whereas the weather forecast tells you when a storm is <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaching, 7Analytics will tell you exactly how the water from this storm will <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> through your community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These insights are displayed on a dashboard. Insurers can use the tool to assess the risk of flood damage to homes, for instance. If the risk is high, they can adjust their premiums in accordance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Counterintuitively, this could actually help homeowners.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many insurers have withdrawn entirely from regions such as California and Florida due to the sheer amount of risks from wildfires and floods<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This leaves people financially unprotected in the event of a natural disaster.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cInsurers are leaving flood-prone areas because they lack adequate risk information,\u201d said Torland. \u201cThrough our deeper approach, we are giving insurers data that accurately assess the specific risk of each property.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The European floods of 2021, which affected large areas of Germany and Belgium, took the lives of 209 people and cost over \u20ac30bn in damages. Catastrophic floods like these are becoming more common due to global heating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe insurance industry is communicating a critical need for higher quality risk data in the face of more frequent and higher impact extreme weather events,\u201d said Torland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7Analytics says that 40 customers already use its tool.
