So it\u2019s interesting to see what consumers know and think about AI-powered search. The data is a good reminder that user behavior is always slow to change, so don\u2019t expect a quick transition from Classic Search to AI Search.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By the numbers. <\/strong>Some interesting findings from Botify\u2019s survey:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/1038259\/SEL_Post-text --><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1693000027709-0\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"post-break\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>44% of respondents were familiar with generative search \u2013 58% of Millennials and 58% of Gen Z were most familiar; 74% of Baby Boomers were unfamiliar with it.<\/li>\n<li>37% of respondents tried an AI-driven search engine and found the results more satisfying.<\/li>\n<li>34% said the way they search on AI Search hasn\u2019t changed; 28% said they make \u201cmore detailed\u201d search queries; 9% said they write longer prompts.<\/li>\n<li>56% of respondents, when asked to choose between two results pages for the same query, preferred AI-generated results over traditional search results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Online shopping.<\/strong> Forty-one percent of respondents said the top reason for using AI search was for online shopping. Other top reasons to use it were for keeping up with the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> (19%) and seeking health-related information (12%).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" 2048px\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Faster answers. <\/strong>While 36% of respondents haven\u2019t used AI search, 25% of consumers have \u2013 and mainly to test out the new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meanwhile, 17% said their top reason for using AI-powered search was because the chatbot-style results helped them find answers
