Stability described the\u00a0text generation accuracy as \u201cunprecedented.\u201d The company attributes these improvements to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stability.ai\/news\/stable-diffusion-3-research-paper\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/stability.ai\/news\/stable-diffusion-3-research-paper&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1718264027605000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2kbgrBD3-hNnx-rpjkSHcy\">Diffusion Transformer architecture<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Another core attraction is the model\u2019s size. Alongside rivals Midjourney and OpenAI\u2019s Dall-E, Stable Diffusion rose to the summit of the nascent text-to-image sub-sector. In 2022, investors <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/stable-diffusion-stability-ai-1b-funding-round-midjourney-dalle-openai-2022-10\">valued the startup<\/a> at $1bn.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, however, a flurry of lawsuits and financial concerns have engulfed the business.<\/p>\n<p>Artists have sued the company for training its AI models on their work without consent. Stability has also discussed a sale as it faces a cash crunch, The Information <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theinformation.com\/articles\/stability-ai-facing-cash-crunch-discusses-sale\">reported last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As the problems mounted, the company\u2019s\u00a0CEO and founder, Emad Mostaque, resigned in March.\u00a0<span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stability.ai\/news\/stabilityai-announcement\">Mostaque said<\/a> he was leaving to pursue decentralised AI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The software, however, has consistently impressed. Images from SD3 Medium suggest that the performance has been further enhanced.<\/p>\n<p>Further upgrades are already in the pipeline \u2014 and not just for images.
