\n Alicia Keys and Jay-Z will perform together during the 77th Tony Awards on Sunday night, CBS announced Sunday afternoon. <\/p>\n

\n The two artists will sing \u201cEmpire State of Mind\u201d during the live telecast of the awards show, which this year will take place at New York\u2019s David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the first time ever. <\/p>\n

\n Jay-Z and Keys first released \u201cEmpire State of Mind\u201d in 2009, as part of the former\u2019s album, The Blueprint 3<\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n Keys will also be in attendance at Sunday\u2019s ceremony representing her musical Hell\u2019s Kitchen<\/em>, which this year tied the straight play Stereophonic<\/em> for most nominations with 13 each. <\/p>\n

\n This year\u2019s nominations marked a new milestone for women directors, with seven nominated across best play direction and best musical direction categories. Stereophonic<\/em> also set a record for the most Tony nominations for a play, surpassing previous record holder\u00a0Slave Play\u2019s<\/em>\u00a012 noms in 2020. <\/p>\n

\n In addition to Jay-Z and Keys, casts of nominated musicals\u00a0Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Hell\u2019s Kitchen, Illinoise, Merrily We Roll Along, Suffs, The Outsiders, The Who\u2019s Tommy\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Water for Elephant<\/em>s will all perform. Stereophonic<\/em> will also take the stage, following backlash from fans and the playwright that the group was initially excluded from the lineup (many argued they had been excluded because the show is not a musical, but it is nominated for best score). <\/p>\n
