Quietly, the startup recently began delivering these experiences to BBC audiences. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last month, Condense powered the BBC\u2019s first-ever live virtual concert. Singer Sam Tompkins<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SamTompkinsUK\/status\/1790120156464624080\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">took the digital stage<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the milestone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The BBC today revealed the partnership\u2019s next moves. At their core is a virtual venue called the New Music Portal. It hosts interactive concerts that fans can attend from the comfort of their homes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To create these experiences, Condense\u2019s camera array films artists performing in the BBC\u2019s iconic <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/historyofthebbc\/buildings\/maida-vale\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maida Vale studios<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Algorithms combine all the feeds into a single 3D video. The footage is then compressed and streamed into the virtual venue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Viewers enter the environment through a web browser on their phone or laptop. Once inside, their avatars can explore the virtual world. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They can watch the gig from any angle, chat with fellow fans, share emotes, and break out dance moves. So does Nick Fellingham, the CEO and co-founder of Condense. He described these <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s as \u201cthe new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> networks.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThey are the way young people socialise online, connect and share experiences in real-time,\u201d he told TNW.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By working with Condense, the BBC hopes to generate new versions of these experiences. The broadcaster has already planned regular immersive gigs on BBC Radio 1\u2019s<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sounds\/brand\/m001chdz\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Music Show<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The funding will ensure that the broadcaster \u201cstands to benefit\u201d as Condense grows, the BBC said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Young people are the primary target of the collaboration. The BBC wants Condense to engage these audiences and shape the future of content creation. A dedicated team will explore the opportunities in domains such as sports, education, and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bellingham also has high hopes for the plans.\u00a0\u201cTraditionally, broadcasting was passive, but now users can actually be part of the experience,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next target for Condense is another virtual arena.
