\n Apple is launching a new product next week, but it may not be the hotly anticipated 5G iPhone.<\/p>\n

The company on Tuesday afternoon announced a surprise even scheduled for Sept. 15, with Apple\u2019s senior vice president of marketing Greg Joswiak sharing a video of the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, Calif.<\/p>\n

The event invite didn\u2019t say what the event would be about, but came with a \u201cTime Flies\u201d tagline, suggesting that Apple may be unveiling off the latest version of its popular Watch series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Next week\u2019s all-digital event is Apple\u2019s latest foray into social<\/a>ly distant keynotes after it held its annual annual WWDC developers conference virtually in June due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

In addition to two new Apple Watch models, Apple-watchers are also looking for the company\u2019s first-ever over-ear headphones released under the Apple brand rather than Beats, as well as a possible new iPad Air model.<\/p>\n

Apple annual iPhone keynote is traditionally held in September, but this year may be delayed a month due to production bottlenecks in Asia caused by the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Apple typically sends engineers back and forth from its offices to its factories in China to finalize designs in the lead-up to the product\u2019s release. But coronavirus lockdowns led Apple to restrict employee travel<\/a> to hotbeds of the disease in recent months.<\/p>\n

Reports have Apple\u2019s iPhone event slated for the end of October, where it\u00a0is expected to announce four new iPhones, with 5G models not hitting stores until November.<\/p>\n

All of the new phones are expected to feature high-end OLED displays, but Apple is rumored to not be including a complimentary power adapter or headphones in the box.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
