And Reddit is no longer one of the top 10 most cited domains.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"bialty-container\">\nGoogle <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears to have pulled back further on AI Overviews following well-earned criticism about its AI-generated answers giving users incorrect, misleading and dangerous answers.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s dive into new findings from two separate SEO platforms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SEOClarity looked at 2,700 keywords.<\/li>\n<li>SERanking analyzed 100,000 keywords. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>AI Overviews reduction.<\/strong> Google is showing AI Overviews less often, though the analyses disagree on the percentage. AI Overviews show for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8.71% of searches, according to SERanking. (Down from 64% \u2013 when it was still known as Search Generative Experience)<\/li>\n<li>7.6% of searches, according to SEOClarity. (Down from 17.4% observed May 14-30)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This reduction is not surprising \u2013 especially after Google responded to criticism and explained how it would improve AI Overviews on May 30. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Citations. <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reddit<\/a>\u2019s visibility dropped in AI Overviews, according to SERanking. It is no longer among the top 10 most cited domains. The top five domains most referenced websites in AI Overviews:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>runnersworld.com (1,200 times)<\/li>\n<li>healthline.com (1,114 times)<\/li>\n<li>linkedin.com (1,027 times)<\/li>\n<li>runrepeat.com (933 times)<\/li>\n<li>en.wikipedia.org (775 times)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>By the numbers.<\/strong> Some interesting findings from SERanking\u2019s analysis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>84.72% of AI Overviews link to at least one domain that also appears in Google\u2019s top 10 organic search results.<\/li>\n<li>Featured snippets and AI Overviews appear together 45.39% of the time \u2013\u00a0and when this happens, citations match 61.79% of the time.<\/li>\n<li>AI Overviews are 4,342 characters, on average.<\/li>\n<li>Ads appear with AI Overviews 87% of the time.<\/li>\n<li>AI Overviews are most often present in Relationships (26.62%), Food and Beverage (24.78%) and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technology<\/a> (18.11%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>More findings.<\/strong> Here are other interesting findings from SEOClarity\u2019s analysis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AI Overviews appeared for 44% of Your Money Your Life (YMYL) keywords.<\/li>\n<li>Local keywords don\u2019t trigger AI Overviews (this seems consistent with recent BrightEdge findings).<\/li>\n<li>AI Overviews are most often present in Home Warranty (25.22%), Technology (20.09%), and Social Media (23.96%) industries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why we care.<\/strong> Despite the early hiccups in these early days of AI Overviews, Google continues to evolve in the direction of AI Overviews. Google wants to become an answer engine rather than a search engine.
