Netflix has released a <\/span>new key visual<\/span> for the upcoming <\/span>Beastars Final Season<\/span><\/i>, which revealed that <\/span>Part 1<\/span> will be released sometime in December 2024. A premiere date for Part 2 has yet to be revealed.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The visual showcases the main character, Legoshi, being watched by two mysterious creatures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shinichi Matsumi<\/b> and <\/span>Nanami Higuchi <\/b>both return from the anime<\/a>\u2019s first two seasons as director and script<\/a>writer, respectively. <\/span>Orange<\/b> returns to handle the animation production for the final season.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The previous Beastars seasons consisted of <\/span>Nao Ootsu<\/b> as character designer, <\/span>Eiji Inomoto<\/b> as chief CG director,<\/span> Minami Kasuga<\/b> as art director, <\/span>Satoshi Hashimoto<\/b> as color designer, and <\/span>Satoru Kosaki<\/b> as music composer. <\/span>Shiori Furusho <\/b>and <\/span>Chae Baek Ryun<\/b> served as compositing directors on Season 1, while Season 2 only had Chae in the role.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>first season of <\/span>Beastars<\/span><\/i> premiered in October 2019 in Japan and had its global release by Netflix in early 2020. Season 2 arrived in 2022, first airing in Japan from January to March 2022 before being streamed globally by Netflix in July of the same year. The <\/span>Final Season<\/span><\/i> was announced in September 2022.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The anime is based on the original manga series<\/a> by <\/span>Paru Itagaki<\/b>, which ran in Akita Shoten\u2019s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine from September 8, 2016 to October 8, 2020. A total of 22 tankobon volumes were released. VIZ Media<\/a> releases the manga in English for North America.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
