The Quintessential Quintuplets*<\/em>, a TV special that depicts the characters\u2019 honeymoon trip<\/a>, will have a three-week theatrical screening in Japan that begins on September 20 JST. A teaser visual, as well as staff details, were also released.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like 2022\u2019s The Quintessential Quintuplets<\/i>\u00a0Movie<\/i>, The Quintessential Quintuplets* <\/em>is a\u00a0Bibury Animation Studios <\/b>production with\u00a0Masato Jinbo <\/b>as director. Another returning core staff member is Masato Katsumata<\/b> as character designer. For the new special, Jinbo is also credited as series<\/a> composer, while The Quintessential Quintuplets\u00a0<\/em>creator Negi Haruba<\/strong> has a script<\/a> cooperation credit.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Quintessential Quintuplets*<\/em> was announced in April as one of The Quintessential Quintuplets <\/em>anime<\/a> adaptation\u2019s fifth anniversary projects. At the time, it was said that the story will be based on a draft by Haruba and that he would have complete supervision for the narrative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Haruba\u2019s Kodansha-published manga previously inspired two TV anime seasons that premiered in 2019 and 2021, the aforementioned movie, and a two-part 2023 TV anime special titled The Quintessential Quintuplets~<\/i>. The manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017 and ended in 2020 with 14 tankoubon volumes. Kodansha USA describes its premise as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Five girls who want to do anything but study, and their tutor: a high school boy who\u2019s got book smarts and not much else. Futaro Uesugi took the tutoring gig because he was desperate for cash, but when his students\u2014the five beautiful daughters of a wealthy businessman\u2014find five times the excuses to slack off, what can he do?! At this rate, the sisters won\u2019t graduate, so if he wants to get paid, Futaro must think of a plan to suit each of them \u2026 Which feels hopeless when five out of five of them think he\u2019s a loser!<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The first season of The Quintessential Quintuplets<\/em>\u00a0was directed by Satoshi Kuwabara<\/b>\u00a0at\u00a0Tezuka Productions<\/b>, while the second season was directed by\u00a0Kaori<\/b>\u00a0at\u00a0Bibury Animation Studios<\/b>. The Quintessential Quintuplets~\u00a0\u00a0was produced by\u00a0Shaft\u00a0<\/b>and directed by\u00a0Yukihiro Miyamoto<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keiichirou Oochi<\/b> was the series composer for the previous TV anime and wrote most of the episodes. He also wrote the movie\u2019s screenplay. Michinosuke Nakamura\u00a0<\/b>was the first season\u2019s character designer, and thereafter credited with character design cooperation. The Quintessential Quintuplets~\u00a0<\/i>had\u00a0Kazuya Shiotsuki<\/b> as character designer.<\/span><\/p>\n
