A 33-year-old mother admitted to drowning her daughter because she needed \u201ctime alone,\u201d per police reports. The troubling story comes out of Nashville, Tennessee, where authorities say Brandi Elliott<\/strong> (pictured above) decided the only way to get her daughter to leave her alone was to kill her in cold blood by drowning her in a nearby creek.<\/p>\n

According to local outlet WKRN<\/em>, Brandi told cops she was getting fed up when her daughter Piper<\/strong> was allegedly not giving her any \u201ctime alone\u201d so she decided to take her to Drakes Creek in Hendersonville. There, she reportedly confessed to police, she held the 7-year-old under the water in a shallow part of the greenway \u201clike a largemouth bass\u201d until bubbles emerged on the surface. The mother claimed she only realized what she\u2019d done after it was too late to revive the little girl with CPR.<\/p>\n

In court Tuesday, the mother of one told the judge she struggled with postpartum depression after Piper was born but wasn\u2019t currently under any sort of medical care. She did admit she\u2019d \u201clost it\u201d in the past:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen my daughter was two, I kind of lost it like I did this time. I had postpartum depression and they gave me medicine for it. I was having a really bad time with sleeping.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, her husband and the father of the deceased, Jon Elliot<\/strong>, is reportedly a disabled veteran. The accused killer broke down into tears when she told the court. Family friend Kip Ziemer<\/strong> has set up a GoFundMe<\/strong> for the grieving father which told an even more chilling story. The descript<\/a>ion revealed Piper had only seen her father, who\u2019s currently in the hospital, hours before she was murdered:<\/p>\n

\u201d \u2026 Jon Elliot, military veteran, his 7 year old daughter was killed yesterday, July 13 2024, he will be needing as many donations as possible for the funeral arrangements, and basic everyday needs, he only get a small disability check each month, he has been hospitalized the last week in the Critical Care Unit, and just got moved to a regular hospital room yesterday, his wife and daughter seen him yesterday and Piper (his daughter) brought her daddy a bunch of coloring book pictures she colored for him to hang up on the wall of his hospital room, a couple hours later she was killed, the mother was arrested on serious charges \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Brandi currently works at McDonald\u2019s<\/strong>, according to the court, and has had no previous run-ins with the law. Her attorney as well as the state both agreed they didn\u2019t want her mentally evaluated. They\u2019re looking at giving her the death penalty if convicted of her first-degree murder charges.<\/p>\n
