Whoa! Who knew this previously cold case would get so hot?<\/p>\n

For those who missed it, there was \u2014 against all odds \u2014 an arrest was made late last year for the shooting of Tupac Shakur<\/strong>. 27 years after the drive-by, a gangbanger named\u00a0Duane \u201cKeefe D\u201d Davis<\/strong> was charged with murder with use of a deadly weapon<\/em>. He was a person of interest nearly from the start, but it took over two decades to get the indictment.<\/p>\n

Keefe D was a well-known member of the South Compton Crips, but he was also a friend of rapp<\/a>ers Eazy-E<\/strong> and\u00a0Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong>. Folks have wondered about Diddy\u2019s involvement in the shooting for many years as well due to the rivalry between his East Coast Bad Boy Records<\/strong> and Pac\u2019s West Coast outfit, Death Row Records<\/strong>, run by the infamous Suge Knight<\/strong>. But there was never anything concrete. Now that prosecutors have Keefe D, they may have a witness against Puff!<\/p>\n

According to new court docs obtained by\u00a0The US Sun<\/em>, Keefe D told authorities it was Diddy who paid for the hit! A MILLION DOLLARS, no less!<\/p>\n

The documents describe a harrowing incident in which Keefe flew to New York City for a Los Angeles police task force \u2014 going undercover to try to gather evidence on Combs and gangster Eric \u201cZip\u201d Martin<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u201cTask Force Detectives believed they had jurisdiction to investigate a Nevada homicide because Defendant asserted that the conspiracy to commit the murder began in California between Defendant, Eric \u2018Zip\u2019 Martin, and Sean Combs.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Whoa! Keefe D apparently later tried to deny being a snitch:<\/p>\n

\u201cDefendant [Keefe] has asserted publicly that he only told on himself and wasn\u2019t trying to provide evidence against anyone else in his conversations with police.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

However, per prosecutors, he had already very much told on Diddy and Zip:<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, this statement belies this claim, as he suggested that Sean Combs paid Eric Von Martin a million dollars for the killings.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The docs include a summary of a YT interview given by Keefe in which he implicates Diddy:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Sean Combs reaches out to Defendant wondering if South Side Crips were responsible for Shakur\u2019s death by asking, \u2018Is that us?\u2019 Defendant, beaming with pride, answers, \u2018Yes.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIs that us?\u201d Us. As in Diddy, too! But there\u2019s more. A lot more.<\/p>\n

Also included in the docs? In 2009, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police carried out a \u201cSurreptitiously Recorded Interview\u201d with Keefe in which he mentions how the Crips were \u201cfriends\u201d with Diddy, who wanted Suge and Tupac dead. In that interview he outright admits he and some pals \u201caccidentally\u201d passed Suge and Tupac\u2019s car on the road after that Mike Tyson<\/strong> boxing match. Like, they just happened to pass one another. Wild.<\/p>\n

Keefe then said, per the docs, that he and his nephew Orlando \u201cBaby Lane\u201d Anderson<\/strong> opened fire on the car. When police ask straight up,\u00a0\u201cPuffy Combs\u2026 Does he play a role in this thing?\u201d Keefe replies:<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I think he did.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He recalls Diddy telling a room full of about 45 guys, many gang members, he \u201cwould give anything\u201d for Suge Knight\u2019s \u201chead\u201d \u2014 because he was \u201cscared\u201d of the producer. That and he was pissed off at Tupac over a diss track. Yeesh. After the shooting, Keefe says in the recording, he and his pals believed Diddy would pay them:<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew we was like damn, we can get paid now.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Cops ask, \u201cWhen you said paid, paid by Puffy, right?\u201d Keefe answers:<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And before you wonder if this was a misunderstanding, Keefe says Diddy\u00a0did<\/em> pay \u2014 only he paid his pal Zip instead! Keefe told cops he tried to get the money for himself, since he was the one who pulled the trigger, but Diddy ghosted him. He said he regretted killing Tupac and complained:<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish I never met Puff Daddy, period. I swear to God\u2026He messed up my life, man. I was, I was rich, up under the radar, all that, man\u2026it\u2019s all gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Geez.<\/p>\n

It should be noted Keefe D has also claimed anything he previously said about being involved in Tupac\u2019s shooting, such as in interviews on YouTube<\/a> or in the book\u00a0Compton Street Legend<\/em>, was just a fictional account, made up to grift money. Does that make sense why he\u2019d lie\u00a0to the cops<\/em> though?? In a \u201cSurreptitiously Recorded Interview\u201d??<\/p>\n

All of this was part of a filing by prosecutors to oppose Keefe\u2019s bail request. Wild that they mentioned Diddy so many times in it\u2026 Was it incidental??<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll have to see what prosecutors believe and what they don\u2019t \u2014 and mostly what they think they can prove about Diddy. In all, per the\u00a0Sun<\/em>, he\u2019s mentioned in these new docs a whopping 77 times. You do NOT want to be mentioned in murder trial documents even once, so do with that what you will.<\/p>\n

This all becomes public, of course, after the many accusations against Diddy which have surfaced in the past few months. His homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by\u00a0Homeland Security<\/strong>, reportedly as part of an investigation into possible sex trafficking, drugs, and guns. Was he also guilty of murder for hire? One of the most famous killings of all time??<\/p>\n
