Besides a check box that was already ticked, they spotted the following text: \u201cAllow your posts as well as your interactions, inputs, and results with Grok to be used for training and fine-tuning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach could violate the EU\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The group is now assessing the details of the data collection.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"X_and_Grok_are_not_alone\"><\/span>X and Grok are not alone<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>X\u2019s approach is reminiscent of a recent move by Meta. In June, the company was slammed\u00a0for plans to train AI models on personal data \u2014 without requesting consent from users.<\/p>\n<p>NOYB filed complaints in 11 EU countries about the scheme. In response, Meta claimed it has a legitimate interest for using the data.<\/p>\n<p>The tech giant argued that it has a legal basis for training AI on publicly available information.<\/p>\n<p>X may make a similar claim. Whether the EU agrees or not, users can turn the setting off. But even that isn\u2019t particularly straightforward.<\/p>\n<p>On the X mobile app, there\u2019s no clear way to disable the data collection. Mercifully, the company has permitted deactivation on the web version.<\/p>\n<p>You can either use this <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/settings\/grok_settings\">direct link<\/a> or open X and navigate through Settings &gt; Privacy and Safety &gt; Grok.
