The Twitter<\/a> account of manga<\/a> website Comiplex has revealed that a\u00a0Sailor Zombie<\/em> anime project is in the works.<\/span><\/p>\n

The announcement was made on the same day as the release of the Sailor Zombie<\/em> manga\u2019s new Shinsouban volumes (July 29 JST). The manga originally ran from 2014 to 2016 in Monthly Heroes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sailor Zombie<\/em> manga is drawn by Jiji & Pinch<\/strong> with director Isshin Inudo<\/strong> credited for planning and direction. The story follows several high school girls during a zombie apocalypse.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Inudo was also the planner and general<\/a> episode director of the 2014 Sailor Zombie\u00a0<\/em>drama that starred members of the Japanese idol group AKB48<\/strong>. Aside from the manga and drama, there is a Sailor Zombie <\/em>arcade game<\/a> (also featuring AKB48 members).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
