A new teaser visual and additional cast members have been revealed for the upcoming 3DCG anime<\/a> film <\/span>Pui Pui Molcar the Movie: MOLMAX<\/span><\/i>. The film, based on the <\/span>2021 stop-motion anime series<\/a><\/span>, will be released in Japan on November 29, 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Masaki Aiba<\/b> and <\/span>Akio Otsuka<\/b> are joining the film\u2019s cast, voicing the film\u2019s new human characters whose names are undisclosed. This marks the first time any humans in the series will be voiced and is also Aiba\u2019s first voice acting role.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The story of <\/span>Pui Pui Molcar the Movie: MOLMAX<\/span><\/i> begins with the emergence of the first high-tech molcar in Molcity, with drivers having learned to ride AI-driven Molcars. Potato and friends find themselves involved in a dangerous chase between a mysterious organization and a Molcar AI named Kanon. They are saved by a highly skilled driver, who is searching for his missing Molcar. Together, they decide to use Kanon\u2019s AI functionality to assist with the search.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mankyu<\/b> (<\/span>The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague<\/span><\/i>) will be directing the new CG anime film, with <\/span>Yuko Kakihara<\/b> (<\/span>Buddy Daddies, Cells at Work!<\/span><\/i>) writing the script<\/a> and screenplay and <\/span>Tomoki Misato<\/b> (<\/span>Pui Pui Molcar<\/span><\/i> season 1 director) serving as chief supervisor and original creator. <\/span>TOHO NEXT<\/b> is distributing the film.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The new anime film was first announced in January 2024 with a short teaser depicting the lead piggie Potato.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The series has inspired several merchandise, a Nintendo Switch video game<\/a>, and several <\/span>cross-franchise collaborations<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Netflix is streaming both seasons of <\/span>Pui Pui Molcar<\/span><\/i>, which describes the main synopsis as:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They\u2019re guinea pigs! And they\u2019re cars! The fuzzy and adorable molcars have lots of fun adventures in this delightful stop-motion animation.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n\n
