Dr Stone<\/em>\u2018s fourth and final season, Dr. Stone: Science<\/a> Future<\/em>, will premiere in 2025. It was also announced that it will run for three split cours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Stone\u00a0<\/em>is based on the Shueisha-published manga<\/a> written by\u00a0Riichiro Inagaki<\/strong>\u00a0and drawn by\u00a0Boichi<\/strong>,<\/em>\u00a0which ran from 2017 to 2022 in Weekly Shonen Jump and has 26 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media<\/a> describes the plot as:<\/span><\/p>\n

One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he\u2019s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku\u2019s been up and running for a few months and he\u2019s got a grand plan in mind\u2014to kickstart civilization with the power of science!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The anime\u2019s first season premiered in 2019. The third season, Dr. Stone: New World<\/em>, debuted its first cour in April 2023 and its second cour in October 2023. Crunchyroll, Bilibili, and iQIYI streamed New World<\/em>\u00a0overseas.<\/span><\/p>\n

As of\u00a0New World<\/em>, the staff includes\u00a0Shuhei Matsushita<\/strong>\u00a0as director,\u00a0Yuuichirou Kido<\/strong>\u00a0as series<\/a> composer and script<\/a>writer,\u00a0Mayuko Iwasa<\/strong>\u00a0as character designer,\u00a0Hiroyuki Horiuchi<\/strong>\u00a0as main animator, and\u00a0Tatsuya Katou<\/strong>,\u00a0Hiroaki Tsutsumi<\/strong>, and\u00a0YUKI KANESAKA<\/strong>\u00a0as music composers.\u00a0Shinya Iino\u00a0<\/strong>directed the first two seasons.\u00a0TMS Entertainment<\/strong>\u00a0is the animation production company.<\/span><\/p>\n
