This rule gives the FTC more power to enforce against violators and deter AI-generated fake reviews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The rule prohibits the sale, purchase, and creation of fake or false consumer reviews and testimonials.<\/li>\n<li>It bans buying positive or negative reviews and certain undisclosed insider reviews.<\/li>\n<li>The rule also addresses review suppression and misuse of fake <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> indicators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Between the lines.<\/strong> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ftc.gov\/news-events\/news\/press-releases\/2024\/08\/federal-trade-commission-announces-final-rule-banning-fake-reviews-testimonials\">This move<\/a> strengthens the FTC\u2019s enforcement capabilities following the Supreme Court\u2019s AMG Capital Management decision, which limited the agency\u2019s ability to seek monetary relief under the FTC Act.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What they\u2019re saying.<\/strong> FTC Chair Lina M.
