Before being the face of a domestic violence drama, Blake Lively<\/strong> was praising an alleged abuser!<\/p>\n

Alexa Nikolas<\/strong>, who called Blake out for including music by her \u201cknown abuser\u201d in It Ends With Us<\/em>, has put the actress on blast again!!! This time for controversial comments she made about Woody Allen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t know, Blake starred in one of Woody\u2019s films, Caf\u00e9 Society<\/em>, in 2016. It\u2019s the movie she was doing press for when she rudely complimented a journalist on her \u201clittle bump\u201d even though she clearly wasn\u2019t pregnant. And at the time, while Woody hadn\u2019t been fully blacklisted from the industry yet, he had been accused of child sexual abuse against his adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The allegations first surfaced during his split from ex Mia Farrow<\/strong> in 1992, and then resurfaced again in 2014 when Dylan penned an open letter. That\u2019s two years before Caf\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0Society<\/em> came out, so the cast had plenty of time to consider the allegations before signing onto the project, FYI.<\/p>\n

Naturally, it was a hot topic of discussion during the press tour, including at the Cannes Film Festival<\/strong>. There, master of ceremonies Laurent Lafitte<\/strong> leaned into the controversy, joking:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very nice that you\u2019ve been shooting so many movies<\/a> in Europe, even if you are not being convicted for rape in the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n

At a luncheon the next day, the Gossip Girl<\/em> alum slammed the host for the jab, telling Variety<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think any jokes about rape, homophobia or Hitler<\/strong> is not a joke. I think that was a hard thing [to] swallow in 30 seconds. Film festivals are such a beautiful, respectful festivals of film and artists and to have that, it felt like it wouldn\u2019t have happ<\/a>ened if it was in the 1940s. I can\u2019t imagine Fred Astaire<\/strong> and Bing<\/strong> Crosby<\/strong> going out and doing that. It was more disappointing for the artists in the room that someone was going up there making jokes about something that wasn\u2019t funny.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cBut it wasn\u2019t just Woody. He made three homophobic comments in a row. A Hitler joke. And a rape joke. It was all within 30 seconds \u2026 What on Earth was happening? It was really confusing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The drama continued when Dylan\u2019s brother Ronan Farrow<\/strong> published an article in the Hollywood Reporter<\/em> titled, \u201cMy Father, Woody Allen, and the Danger of Unasked Questions,\u201d in which he opened up about all the support his father had been getting and how much it hurt his sister to see so many stars continue to work with the director. When asked about it by Vulture<\/em>, Blake dished:<\/p>\n

\u201cI came home and went to bed at whatever time we finished. I haven\u2019t been in it, so I don\u2019t want to speak on something I haven\u2019t read. I think that\u2019s dangerous. It\u2019s definitely something that being at the festival, the media<\/a> these days, you come to a film festival about film and people talk about all different types of things. You know? That can be definitely tricky to navigate, I\u2019m sure. I don\u2019t want to speak about something I haven\u2019t read.\u201d<\/p>\n

But then she went and told the LA Times<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s amazing what Woody has written for women.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She added that his personal life and the icky allegations didn\u2019t factor into her work, noting:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very dangerous to factor in things you don\u2019t know anything about. I\u2026 know my experience. And my experience with Woody is he\u2019s empowering to women.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She did not say that. OMG. A month later, she doubled down in a chat with Hamptons<\/em> magazine, once again calling the filmmaker \u201cvery empowering.\u201d Whoa.<\/p>\n

As mentioned, Blake\u2019s already been called out by the former child star this week for some questionable decisions made in her new domestic violence film.\u00a0 Now, Alexa\u2019s calling her out yet again! The Zoey 101<\/em> lead reposted Blake\u2019s shocking comment to the LA Times<\/em> on her Instagram Story<\/strong> on Thursday, reacting:<\/p>\n

She also included the \u201c\u201d emoji for emphasis, placing the emoji next to a photo of Blake.<\/p>\n

Blake was obviously in a tough spot promoting a movie with such a controversial director (though she didn\u2019t have to work with him if she didn\u2019t want to). But the fact that she so openly praised him despite the allegations is pretty shocking. Thanks to her It Ends With Us<\/em> scandal, we now know that she\u2019s a pro at ignoring people and topics when she wants. And yet she went this route! Jeez! This is SO not the best look for the face of a movie about abuse!<\/p>\n
