Annapurna has announced<\/a> a partnership with Remedy Entertainment to co-produce and co-finance the development of Control 2<\/em>, as well as develop and produce the Alan Wake<\/em> and Control<\/em> franchises for film, television, and other audiovisual formats. <\/p>\n

Remedy Entertainment will still publish Control 2<\/em> itself, and is currently \u201cworking full steam ahead\u201d on the sequel. Further information on the game<\/a> is still a while out, howveer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re super excited to get Annapurna on board!\u201d said Remedy Entertainment creative director Mikael Kasurinen and Control<\/em> franchise executive producer Juha Vainio in a press release. \u201cAnnapurna\u2019s creative values align perfectly with ours, making them an inspiring partner for the journey ahead. We at Remedy have been working on Control 2<\/em> for a while already, it\u2019s looking amazing, and we feel Annapurna is the perfect partner to work with as the game development is moving forward towards production and eventually across the finish line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Creative director Sam Lake added, \u201cI\u2019m absolutely thrilled (yes!) by this opportunity to expand the story of Alan Wake<\/em> and our whole Remedy Connected Universe to mediums beyond games, and to build all of this in close collaboration, games, film, TV, and other mediums as well, as one unified vision.
