Dark Horse Books has announced that it will be releasing <\/span>Little Thunder<\/b>\u2019s three-story comic collection <\/span>Kylooe <\/span><\/i>for the first time in English, which will be translated by <\/span>Montana Kane<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dark Horse describes <\/span>Kylooe<\/span><\/i> as featuring three \u201cemotional and intimate\u201d self-contained stories that explore the human condition. The work presents itself as \u201can emotional dreamworld of bittersweet love and growing up\u201d in a surrealist, watercolor art style. It was previously released in Japan, France, Italy, and China.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The French edition of the comic was published by Kana between 2010 to 2012. Panini Comics released the series<\/a> in Italy, while Joint Publishing released it in Hong Kong.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dark Horse describes the <\/span>Kylooe<\/span><\/i> comic series as:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A typical teenager finds growing up is rough. One day, she cuts class to buy the new album from her favorite band and sees a strange, mysterious, yet familiar creature on the cover \u2014 it is Kylooe, her old friend! He\u2019s back, he\u2019s real, and he\u2019ll do anything to protect her. Then, an awkward girl makes an impression on a popular teen, and they begin to connect beyond their peer statuses. Finally, in a world where expressing emotion is forbidden, people reflect on the decisions that changed their lives forever.<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The 384-page paperback edition of the collection will be released at bookstores on March 25, 2025, and comic shops on March 26, 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Little Thunder is a<\/span> Hong Kong-based artist best known for works such as <\/span>Sisterhood, Scent of Hong Kong,<\/span><\/i> and<\/span> Wakame & Wave<\/span><\/i>. She was the winner of the 2002 Best New Artist Award at the China Japan Comics Exchange and attended the Angoul\u00eame International Comics Festival in 2013. She also maintains a popular <\/span>Instagram account<\/span><\/a> that has amassed around 1 million followers.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
