According to Bloomberg, Google has trained its foundation AI model with 300 million pieces of audio that included coughs, sniffles, and labored breathing, to identify, for example, someone battling tuberculosis.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, it has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/newsletters\/2024-08-29\/google-and-others-are-developing-ai-that-can-hear-signs-of-sickness\">teamed up<\/a> with an Indian company \u2013 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/salcit.in\/\">Salcit Technologies<\/a>, a respiratory healthcare AI startup \u2014 to tuck that tech into smartphones where it can potentially help high-risk populations in geographies with poor access to healthcare.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not Google\u2019s first foray into trying to digitize human senses.
