Widow\u2019s Bay<\/em> is headed to Apple TV+. The streaming service has ordered the new horror-comedy series<\/a>, which will follow the residents of a mysterious New England island.<\/p>\n

Apple TV+ revealed more about the series in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, Apple TV+ announced \u201cWidow\u2019s Bay,\u201d a new 10-episode series from creator Katie Dippold (\u201cThe Heat,\u201d \u201cParks and Recreation,\u201d \u201cGhostbusters\u201d), with Emmy Award winner Hiro Murai (\u201cMr. & Mrs. Smith,\u201d \u201cThe Bear,\u201d \u201cAtlanta\u201d) set to direct the pilot.<\/p>\n

\u201cWidow\u2019s Bay\u201d is about a mysteriously cursed New England island and its superstitious citizens, led by a mayor who refuses to believe their warnings.<\/p>\n

The new series hails from Apple Studios and will be showrun and executive produced by Dippold. In addition to directing, Murai will also produce alongside Claudia Shin and Carver Karaszewski.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Additional details and a premiere date for the series will be announced later.<\/p>\n
