Discuss your COVID risk tolerance<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cYou should know your own COVID status and that of the person you\u2019re going out with,\u201d said Vernon, who stresses being up-front about your risk tolerance. \u201cMake sure you feel empowered to leave if the other person isn\u2019t following the boundaries you agreed to,\u201d such as leaning in for a kiss when you agreed to keep 6 feet of distance.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Write_down_your_non-negotiables\"><\/span>2. Write down your non-negotiables<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before you start mindlessly swiping, do some reflection. \u201cIf you know what you want, it\u2019s easier for you to spot someone who doesn\u2019t check those boxes,\u201d Vernon said.
