Asian, Latinx, Black, Native American, Middle Eastern, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At least 30 percent of the rest of the cast otherwise must be chosen from at least two of the following victim identities: women, underrepresented racial or ethnic group, \u201cLGBTQ \u201d and the disabled.<\/p>\n<p>Or the Academy gets to dictate the content of the movie so that the \u201cmain storyline, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a> or narrative of the film\u201d must satisfy the same intersectionality requirements on gender, race, sexuality and disability.<\/p>\n<p>And that is just Standard A, one of four labyrinthine prescriptions for creating Academy-sanctioned art.<\/p>\n<p>They all read like satire. You have to pinch yourself to make sure you\u2019re not having some dystopian dream.<\/p>\n<p>Even to be considered for a Best Picture Oscar, a movie must \u00adsatisfy two of the four required standards.<\/p>\n<p>Standard B demands \u201cat least two\u201d creative leadership positions, such as director, producer, writer or cinematographer, must come from a designated victim-identity category, with at least one from a favored racial or ethnic group. Otherwise, at least 30 percent of the film crew must satisfy the same politically correct criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Standard C requires \u201csubstantive\u201d paid internships and apprenticeships in most departments solely for people from designated victim categories.<\/p>\n<p>Standard D reaches its tentacles into marketing, publicity and distribution that also are required to be genetically and sexually \u00addiverse.<\/p>\n<p>White, heterosexual cis-gendered (as in, haven\u2019t changed sex) males need not apply. Or, at least, not without the filmmaker paying hefty indulgences to the Church of Woke.<\/p>\n<p>This is enforced self-censorship, as destructive of creativity and free thought as the Stalinist \u00addictates of any communist dictatorship.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not surprising that it comes from industry insiders who mandated \u201cunconscious bias\u201d anti-racist training in June for all Academy governors and staff, a mass indoctrination that would rot even the most independent mind.<\/p>\n<p>The press release summarizing the Academy\u2019s new strictures, to take effect beginning in 2024, required 1,000 words to explain. Not one word about artistic quality or, God forbid, ideological diversity.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine layering these tyrannical dictates atop the already wickedly challenging task of finding and financing a worthwhile project that will find a sufficiently large audience to make a profit.<\/p>\n<p>Moviemaking is fickle in the best of times. During the pandemic, revenues have collapsed and the logistics of getting back up and running are daunting. Now Hollywood is volunteering to shoot itself in the foot while it\u2019s on its knees.<\/p>\n<p>Tellingly, there has been little complaint about the Academy edict from the embattled community of film artists who can\u2019t afford to be blacklisted if they object.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCheers\u201d star Kirstie Alley was one of the few brave enough to tell the truth, tweeting that the new rules were \u201cdictatorial [and] anti-artist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan you imagine telling Picasso what had to be in his f\u2013king paintings. You people have lost your minds. Control artists, control individual thought . . .<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOSCAR ORWELL\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>Of course, she im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely was labeled \u201cracist\u201d and caught so much abuse that she deleted the tweet and mouthed the required platitudes about \u201cdiversity inclusion &#038; tolerance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Artists are supposed to be subversive, not fall into line with a prescribed utopian fantasy dreamed up under pressure to appease radicals such as the Marxist, anti-nuclear family, Black Lives Matter organization that has been terrorizing the nation for more than three months.<\/p>\n<p>BLM co-founder and self-described \u201ctrained Marxist\u201d Patrisse Cullors last month demanded that Hollywood go on strike to in support of her anti-police agenda: \u201cIt\u2019s time for talent, writers, executives, the guild and SAG to show up for Black lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Academy, Hollywood\u2019s prime mechanism for social conformity, recognized the threat. But appeasement never works. All that happens is the demands become more extreme. Just wait for the next round of \u201cguidelines.\u201d How much pain can you take?<\/p>\n<p>According to the \u201cGet Woke, Go Broke\u201d thesis, the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> that emerge from this new system will be stultifying awful and tank at the box office.<\/p>\n<p>How many award-winning movies of the past would not pass muster: \u201c1917,\u201d \u201cThe Godfather,\u201d \u201cCasablanca,\u201d \u201cOne Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest,\u201d \u201cUnforgiven,\u201d \u201cSchindler\u2019s List,\u201d \u201cBraveheart,\u201d \u201cGladiator,\u201d \u201cAmerican Sniper,\u201d \u201cThe Departed,\u201d \u201cOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood,\u201d \u201cThe Sound of Music\u201d .\u2009.\u2009. you name it. Definitely not \u201cGone With The Wind.\u201d We know that already.<\/p>\n<p>Movies are America\u2019s primary cultural product, colonizing minds around the world for almost a \u00adcentury. Corrosive agitprop won\u2019t cut it.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, no one takes Hollywood\u2019s moral posturing seriously, when it has sold its soul to the Chinese Communist Party, the most repressively racist regime on the planet.<\/p>\n<p>What was with Disney\u2019s closing credits for Mulan last week, with its \u201cspecial thanks\u201d to a \u201cpublic security bureau\u201d in Xinjiang, where 1\u2009million Uighurs are in concentration camps?<\/p>\n<p>Really? As professor Jordan Peterson used to say, clean up your own room first.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"An_irrational_%E2%80%98Rage_at_Don\"><\/span>An irrational \u2018Rage\u2019 at Don<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Washington Post has selectively weaponized Bob Woodward\u2019s new book, \u201cRage,\u201d against the president, to blame him for the pandemic, along Joe Biden-campaign attack lines.<\/p>\n<p>The charge is that Trump told Woodward that he knew in early February, before the first American coronavirus death, that the disease was dangerous, but decided to \u201cplay it down.\u201d Cue the White House press corps demanding to know why Trump \u201clied\u201d to the American people by saying the virus was \u201cunder control.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s response is reasonable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe last thing you want to do is create panic in the country,\u201d he told reporters yesterday. \u201cA terrible situation [was] foisted on us . . .The last thing we can show is panic or excitement or fear. We had to take care of the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He was taking action at the time. Against the protests of the World Health Organization, and the advice of White House experts, he issued the crucial order Jan. 31 to close the border to \u201ca very heavily infected China,\u201d and place US citizens returning from Hubei province into mandatory quarantine.<\/p>\n<p>Biden accused Trump of \u201cxenophobia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to be a Monday-morning quarterback, but if Democrats insist on politicizing the pandemic, two can play that <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, instead of closing down the subway, Bill DeBlasio in March was still urging people to come into the city. \u201cFor the vast majority of New Yorkers, life is going on pretty normally right now,\u201d he said March 10, the day of the first confirmed coronavirus death. \u201cWe want to encourage that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nancy Pelosi did the same in San Francisco\u2019s Chinatown on Feb. 24, urging people to \u201cCome . . . everything is fine here.\u201d It was performance art to spite Trump and portray Trump as a racist for the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> ban and use of the term \u201cChinese virus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Cuomo was the worst. \u201cExcuse our arrogance as New Yorkers . . . we don\u2019t even think it\u2019s going to be as bad as it was in other countries,\u201d he said March 2.<\/p>\n<p>Three weeks later, he issued his callous directive to force nursing homes to admit COVID-infected patients, resulting in the death of thousands. New York has the highest COVID death toll in America \u2014 more than 33,000 \u2014 as a result.<\/p>\n<p>Now \u201cgranny killer\u201d Cuomo is trying to blame Trump.
