After her own proposal to buy it was<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-08-02\/23andme-board-disappointed-in-ceo-anne-wojcicki-s-take-private-proposal\"> rebuffed<\/a> by its board in July, she was given time to wangle another deal. But its independent directors <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investors.23andme.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/independent-directors-23andme-resign-board\/\">announced<\/a> Tuesday evening they\u2019ve lost faith that another proposal is coming, adding that because of Wojcicki\u2019s voting power, they are out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company\u2019s market cap closed the day at $173 million. Losing its glittering board \u2013 which included Sequoia Capital\u2019s Roelof Botha and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> CEO Neal Mohan, among five others \u2013 will likely drive its shares down further.
