Publisher PLAYISM and developer Studio Snowblind have released the story trailer, and new information and screenshots for underwater science<\/a>-fiction action adventure game<\/a> Glaciered<\/em>, as well as announced that it will be playable at the PLAYISM booth at Tokyo Game Show 2024, which will run from September 26 to 29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. <\/p>\n

\u25a0 Meet Ominous Foes in the New Story Trailer<\/strong><\/p>\n

This trailer features the protagonist Gray, who was born as one of the winged ones\u2014the Tuai\u2014and soon given a mission that will determine the fate of their entire species. They fight bravely against numerous foes and encounters a never-before-seen enemy that emerges from the darkness with an ominous noise\u2026<\/p>\n

Glaciered<\/em> will be fully voiced, and this trailer features the Japanese voiceovers by Tatsunori Fukusato (Gray) and Asuka Itou (The Seeker) for the very first time.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Playable Demo at Tokyo Game Show 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

A playable demo of Glaciered<\/em> will be shown at the PLAYISM booth at Tokyo Game Show 2024 (September 26-29). Visitors who try out the demo will receive a special Futuristic Boss Petting Map Coolant! Please stop by the PLAYISM booth if you have the time!<\/p>\n

\u25a0 About the Game<\/strong><\/p>\n

Glaciered<\/em> takes place on Earth 65 million years in the future, where the \u201cEverwinter\u201d has transformed the planet\u2019s surface into a gigantic sheet of ice and life continues to survive under the glacier-covered seas.<\/p>\n

Aquatic plants grow from glacier skies and colorful, bioluminescent fish light the seafloor. A new species prospers in this new golden age of life. They are the Tuai, descended from birds and successors of the dinosaurs. The superior intellect and unique metabolism they evolved over millions of years secured their prosperity in this icy environment. The great Ice Age that nurtures this bountiful ecosystem will survive for as long as the Everwinter persists.<\/p>\n

Play as a Tuai fighting against that which has come to threaten the Everwinter.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Dynamic Underwater Action\u2026 and Your Sidekick the Pui!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gray\u2019s wings are weapons befitting the apex predators of the seas. They can slash and pierce enemies up close, or fire crystal feathers like bullets from afar. Attacking enemies with melee attacks causes Gray\u2019s wings to heat up, and this heat can be used to unleash even more powerful attacks. What\u2019s more, these wings can be swapp<\/a>ed out for different ones, each with unique characteristics and abilities such as unguardable attacks or attacks that cover a wide area. Make good use of the wide range of abilities available to you to maneuver the seas, where both you and your enemies can attack from every direction.<\/p>\n

And don\u2019t forget the Pui, a symbiont of the Tuai. Your Pui will not only fight alongside you, but also provide a light source in dark areas in the form of the photophore on its forehead. By feeding your Pui various creatures you hunt on your journey, it can learn the abilities of those creatures and provide you with even better support. Cooperate with your Pui for a better chance of surviving against the dangers of the underwater world.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 The Seeker\u2019s Hideout: Your Base of Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Throughout your epic journey, you will use the Seeker\u2019s Hideout as your base of operations. You can replenish uses of your Healing skill by resting at the hideout, and eat food you obtain on your journey to raise your stats and grow stronger.<\/p>\n

The hideout is also where you can craft and strengthen your wings, raise your Pui, and receive rewards for completing quests, among other things. If you find yourself struggling, you might want to head back to the hideout to take a break.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 In the Distant Future Seas Ruled by Prehistoric-Looking Creatures\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The underwater world 65 million years in the future is riddled with all sorts of different creatures, including species that resemble prehistoric creatures that have long gone extinct, and never-before-seen creatures that have gone through unique forms of evolution.<\/p>\n

The first area you will visit is the Sea of Tranquility, where dangerous enemies lay in wait for Gray in underwater caves. And once night falls, the sea becomes enveloped in darkness, and nocturnal creatures like the poisonous Gish emerge from their slumber.<\/p>\n

In order to fulfill the Seeker\u2019s mission, Gray will have to risk their life to navigate hostile environments and even more hostile enemies.<\/p>\n
