\n Dylan O\u2019Brien is looking back at his audition for Frozen 2<\/em>, which didn\u2019t necessarily go as planned.<\/p>\n

\n The Saturday Night<\/em> actor recently made an app<\/a>earance on Late Night With Seth Meyers<\/em>, where the host asked him about his failed audition for the 2019 animated sequel, which saw Kristen Bell\u00a0and\u00a0Idina Menzel return as sisters Anna and Elsa, respectively.<\/p>\n

\n O\u2019Brien said he didn\u2019t go into the audition with high hopes of landing the role \u201cbecause I knew that I probably wasn\u2019t going to get it.\u201d The actor didn\u2019t disclose which character he auditioned for.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThey\u2019re looking for multitalented, multi-hyphenate people who can act and sing,\u201d he told Seth Meyers of the musical film. \u201cAnd I didn\u2019t check, to be honest, probably either.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n The Teen Wolf<\/em> alum acknowledged that he \u201ccan\u2019t sing,\u201d but decided to audition because he doesn\u2019t \u201calways feel like a real actor.\u201d However, Meyers wondered how long it took the casting director to also realize singing wasn\u2019t one of O\u2019Brien\u2019s top talents.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThis poor woman,\u201d the actor said. \u201cI remember, actually \u2014\u00a0this is a specific detail \u2014\u00a0she asked me, painfully, if I could get to the chorus because she needed to see if I had a certain range.\u201d O\u2019Brien admitted he was \u201cswimming in the first verse a little bit,\u201d but eventually \u201cwent higher,\u201d per the woman\u2019s request, and \u201cit was really bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI knew. She knew. It\u2019s okay,\u201d he quipped, but Meyers asked in response, \u201cDid she know\u00a0you<\/em>\u00a0knew?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI think so, because when she said to me, \u2018Okay, okay\u2019\u2026 She said two \u2018okays.\u2019 I\u2019ll never forget it,\u201d The Maze Runner <\/em>actor recalled. \u201cAnd then she said, \u2018Thank you for coming in. I think we\u2019d probably need a bit of a stronger singer,\u2019 and I was already just nodding, going, \u2018Yeah, I know.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Thanks for having me.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n O\u2019Brien added that overall, the audition was a positive experience. \u201cI honestly only remember it fondly,\u201d he said, before playfully telling Meyers, \u201cAnd then I\u2019m glad that\u2019s what they chose for you to ask me about.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWe wanted you to have closure. Don\u2019t you see, Dylan?\u201d the host quipped, to which the actor responded, \u201cIt\u2019s made me comfortable, actually. I\u2019m serious!\u201d<\/p>\n
