Kodansha USA<\/span> has announced that it has licensed <\/span>Moare Ohta<\/b>\u2019s <\/span>Parasyte Reversi<\/span><\/i> manga<\/a> series<\/a> for <\/span>digital release<\/span> on October 8, 2024. A preview of the manga\u2019s first chapter is available here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Parasyte Reversi<\/span><\/i> is a spinoff manga series based on <\/span>Hitoshi Iwaaki<\/b>\u2019s original 1989 <\/span>Parasyte<\/span><\/i> manga. It was serialized in Kodansha\u2019s Comic Days app<\/a> from March 2, 2018 to May 7, 2021. Eight tankobon volumes were released in total. The manga was also released digitally on the K Manga app and service.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kodansha USA describes the main synopsis of <\/span>Parasyte Reversi<\/span><\/i> as:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Three dismembered bodies were found in an abandoned basement parking garage, sliced limb from limb while they were still alive\u2026and if the boy who discovered them is to be believed, the murders occurred in an impossibly short window of time. Nothing is adding up for veteran detective Fukami of the East Fukuyama police department, and his gut is telling him the boy is hiding something. In fact, he\u2019s quite certain that Tatsuki Hirokawa saw exactly what happened, and who did it. But what the boy knows will go far beyond even his wildest nightmares\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Parasyte<\/span><\/i> has inspired two tribute work collections, <\/span>Neo Parasyte f <\/span><\/i>and <\/span>Neo Parasyte m<\/span><\/i>, as well as a 24-episode TV anime series in 2014 and a two part live-action film series released between 2014 and 2015.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The series also inspired the live-action South Korean spinoff drama <\/span>Parasyte: The Grey<\/span><\/i>, which was released on Netflix on April 5, 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
